In raid yesterday my co lead said something about a priest bubble and I said priests don’t have bubble that’s a pallie thing and apparently he meant power word shield? Ngl I was tilted beyond belief at the idea of someone calling an absorb shield a bubble.
Plz help me GD, am I the crazy one for thinking we should not call power word shield bubble?
i just call it shield but yeah bubble is more reserved for pallys. kinda the same thing but eh it’ll confuse some.

Pretty sure priest bubble refers to Power Word: Barrier. I call Power Word: Barrier and Anti-Magic Zone priest and dk bubbles. I call Spirit Link Totem the circle of life.

I have never heard anyone call PW: Shield a Bubble before.
But then again I’ve also never heard anyone have to call out for a Priest to use it.
Why is a raid lead calling out PW: Shield?
It’s like, the same animation though? I’ve thought of pw:s as a bubble but if you told me frost barrier was a frost bubble I’d look at you as if you were odd.
Yeah I haven’t heard it called out since we had class leaders in Vanilla for 40 man raids and even then it was maybe one fight in BWL.
On that note I will use bubble for HoP and DI because I’m not saying HaNd of Protection. It’s BOP, dammit.

Power Word: Barrier does look like a big yellow half-bubble that covers multiple players. Maybe that’s what they meant, but I think it’s only available to Disc; pretty sure Holy and Shadow don’t have that spell.
