Ardenweald as a druid. Convoke the Spirits?
THIS is how a druid convokes the spirits.
Another round of first-world drama from World First raiders.
Do you want an honest answer? Or a silly one?

Sylvanas
It hasn’t come out yet, so I’m not disappointed just yet. I could see the covenent system being a disappointment, but I’ll reserve judgement until I actually get to play with it. My biggest disappointment would be if they are as unbalanced as talents, azerite traits, corruptions, essences, and legion legendaries were.
Why does anybody care about them? Seriously? That’s not going to help them on a resumé
This is GD, I expect honesty and cookies.
There is quite a bit actually (ie un-pruning gone wild) but the biggest so far is probably The Maw. I understand we will eventually be able to ride or get speed boosts there but as of now nope. You’re hoofing it. In a zone much larger than Argus (as near as I can tell).

not necessarily disappointed yet because more could still be released, but there are some customization options i was really hoping to see that we haven’t yet. for one, i’m not sure why only a few races are getting scars. like teldrassil justifies giving night elves scars, but everything the draenei have been through don’t? no broken horns, either, or anything like that
worgen don’t seem to have gotten any new hairstyles and gnomes’ options aren’t lookin too impressive
Most people don’t, some people do. But yeah, certainly wouldn’t consider them anybody worth emulating. They spend an unhealthy amount of time on the game.
But you’re not meant to explore the whole thing at once. It’s supposed to be like most expansion features like Visions or Isle of Quel’danas or whatever where it slowly opens up to you as you progress. We know you will eventually get portals. It’s honestly possible you get “Scarab” like mounts that allow you to mount in the zone but kick you off in combat. Blizzard’s biggest fear is people skipping fights because the zone is structured that fighting builds up your Eyes of the Jailer, if you can simply ride through areas easily it breaks the intended flow and progression.
But you’re entitled to your opinion of course. Personally I think The Maw looks like the most exciting part of the whole expansion, short of Covenants. Torghast is going to get incredibly old incredibly fast in my opinion especially with lack of meaningful rewards outside of a mandatory grind, dailies are the same as they’ve been the last couple expansions, and M+/Raiding are just going to be the same old same old. M+ recycling old affixes, and Castle Nathria straight up ripping off Blackhand’s fight pacing for the final fight (Blackhand was an awesome fight but come on dudes).
While I understand your sentiments, it is suppose to feel like Argus in a sense where it is unfriendly zone, yet the no mount thing is baffling compared to the Burning Legion’s capital world.
Honestly, and its going to be super niche and not really a huge deal to others, but Enhancement not getting Two-Handed as an option is the big bummer for me.
Like, given the fact that this was THE expansion to bring back the option of weapon choice for the other classes like Fury with Single Minded Fury vs Titans Grip, DK’s and Monks with Dual Wield vs Two-Handed, etc… it kind feels hopeless moving forward. If not now I wonder if ever.
Like, I am sure the dev team has seen all the threads on it in both the GD and much more frequently in the Shaman forums as well as in the Alpha Shaman Feedback thread but it’s really something I would have loved to see considering how Shaman was handled in BFA as well as Enhancement’s rotation going back towards how it use to be in a lot of ways.
I don’t know, I suppose there is still a chance but I feel like it’s pretty slim. I absolutely would not mind being wrong on this one and in one of the patches having a “surprise!” moment where the option is added. That would honestly be pretty great
Aside from that, ignoring stuff like the Opening Cinematic, I think my second biggest bummer is Covenants and Covenant Abilities. Like, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the idea of covenants but I hate how directly they are tied to abilities.
I honestly kinda wish the abilities were free game, like through the questing experience you make allies out of all the covenants in preparation for the coming battle with the Jailer and the forces of the Maw and that you could access those abilities in Oribos unrelated to which covenant you choose. Like, the idea would be that the Maw, Jailer, and Sylvanas is a big issue for everyone so each covenant would want to give their aid. Then have picking covenant to align specifically with would unlock a bonus, unique, soulbind, maybe some unique troops for the mission table, the transmog and mounts, the “minigames” they mentioned in the form of the Venthyr Parties or the Night Fae farm.
I don’t know, for me I am really not a fan of the Covenant abilities being locked behind covenant choice. Soulbinds I could deal with having some covenant exclusives, but the abilities I am not a fan of being locked the way they are. I really think its a mistake but that is just me.
That rank system has me a little puzzled for conduits.
I’m disappointed Torghast isn’t in fact endless I don’t believe.
That I bought it last year and I have not played it yet.
No ground mounts in the Maw.
I am pro Pathfinder and have finally accepted that this is just how it’s going to be then you TAKE AWAY GROUND MOUNTS TOO AND LOCK SPEED BOOSTS BEHIND A CURRENCY GRIND WHYYYYY ARRRRGH
This isn’t even a single quest gauntlet. This is gonna be our endgame chillout zone because Torghast is in the Maw, isn’t it? Why?! Like I get the lore reason, and am not opposed to a challenge, but that’s the point of Torghast. An outdoor challenge zone with no payoff for the slog besides (insert colorful language here) is going to get old SUPER fast. Why punish the player? What’s with this escalating punishment fetish? If you don’t stealth or tank, I predict misery on a level that makes Nazjatar and Argus look like the Fluffy Bunny zone.
And before anyone accuses me of being a whiny baby afraid of hard things, I will be fine. My mains are Hunter and Druid, both of which have a million ways to cheese their way out of “sardines in a can” mob placement. My fear is for the Priests, the Mages. The slower, squishier classes who can’t really out speed or out tank multiple packs so they will be forced to fight or die, over and over, 10,000 times with no payoff because random trash mobs haven’t been allowed to drop anything of value since like Wrath.
So kind of similar to how allies were made in Legion? You visit each zone and over the length of the quest lines for that zone you gain an ally against a common foe?
I hope you’re right actually - as for exploring, part of what I love doing is looking around to see how these worlds are built and reporting any holes/bugs or anomalies I find.
I do agree completely with you on Torghast… it seems well, like you said. It will get stale unbelievably fast.

That void form is not going away.
I hope Torghast gets more rewards put in it now that they are not restricting access. Tmog, mounts, pets, gold, crafting materials, you name it. All that stuff would be cool to keep it worth doing.
