Just trying to figure out if I should buy a set of 454’s explorer gear from the vendor on retail for my remix toon if the gear that blizz is gonna give is gonna be trash.
I’ve seen people in the beta say 415. I can’t confirm that since I only made characters on the end game server, but as of right now I can say that the prepatch event vendors are selling 480
Well then in that case i’ll buy a set of 454’s. It’ll help during the pre-patch event until I can get a set of 480’s then. Knowing blizz, they’ll probably delete or convert the dreamsurge currency to no longer be usable when the new expac drops.
the ilewvel you’ll get is what it already says, the question though, what will be the stats be, i don’t trust blizz enough to level another remix toon
There is no way that remix characters are keeping ilvl 556 gear
We have been told that you do not get to keep anything from the Remix on the characters in the way of gear or items on gear.
Since we know that any character of ours on the Remix above level 10 will be moved to “modern World of Warcraft”, obviously the gear they have will be adjusted proportionately. So a level 11 will likely have starter gear suitable for level 11 and a level 70 will likely have starter gear suitable for a level 70.
The boosted toons that came with TWW had 424 gear if I remember right, so I suspect it will be somewhere around that.
PS: people need to remember that the character cap has only been raised by 5, so if you are capped out on your account character limit, something has to go if you want all your Remix characters, especially if there are more than 5.
Well even if it’s 425’s, the dreamsurge 454’s are still worth it then. It’s not like I’m doing anything else with my dreamsurge currency.

The rings trinkets and neck all have 342 so its not like youre kitted out
