I think what they had in cata(?) where they could only dispel their slows/roots could come back and not be crazy overpowered.
We’re talking about real specs here.
they would insanely counter rmp, every hunter comp ever, and about 20 other comps.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Rogue/ret/priest was super fun back in the day though!
I do think that something for the ret specifically would be helpful for the roots and snares. Just a small addition like a dispel for themselves or even a Double charge on freedom talent at the cost that it can only be used on self, shortened duration? Twice the freedoms for mage to Spellsteal!

Played with a resto druid in 2s last night. Soon as my druid came out of stealth he got HoJ’d and hit with a 67k Templar’s Verdict.

67k isn’t a hit, it’s a crit during wings, why was your druid in melee range of the pally during wings?

67k on players with 200-220k hp pools is still less then 1 Gpyro (which doesn’t require a crit, or cooldowns) Think about that

Gpyro can also be avoided via interrupt, grounding totem, LoS, CC, etc. And is also a 4 second cast.

Look I’m not saying gpyro isn’t a problem. This isn’t a debate about one class vs another. I’m just saying, 67k for any one ability is a bit obnoxious and unnecessarily high especially for an ability that’s instant and can be used every other global.
If you’re trying to imply that ret burst isn’t crazy high you’re biased as all hell and probably on something. Just because TV doesn’t hit as hard as Gpy doesn’t make it not absolutely ridiculous. That’s like saying losing 1000 dollars is no big deal because losing 1200 dollars is worse. Not very sound logic there.

Every other global? It’s a finisher, it critted and he was on CD, you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Indeed ret has huge burst during CD, it has bad mobility and subpar defensives vs magic. How about you learn how to counter the class instead of crying? Not every class has to be the same.

I’d like to add that gpy can indeed be interupted, but you can cast it from afar. Not complaining about gpy here, try to take everything into account when you do those dumb comparison.

Are you dense? It’s a regular rotational ability, it costs 3 holy power, has no CD and does ridiculous damage, as evidenced by it always being 35%+ of your damage breakdown and the next highest ability being like 17%. So who really doesn’t know what they’re talking about here?
I know how to counter paladins, it’s very easy. I just can’t do it on the class I play, which is fine, every class should have a counter. Warrior just doesn’t counter pally. Nobody here is crying, just simply stating a known fact: ret paladins burst is ridiculously high. What does that have ANYTHING to do with all classes being the same?
Literally just makes it easier to avoid, so that statement is irrelevant.
