If I used magistrates judgement with maldrax hammer to make my free wogs into sotr and just got max vers and mastery would it work?
I would like to know this as well…
I feel like I am palading wrong.
I have around 20% haste / mastery
but low verse (have seen protpals with near same stats)
When im on my main healing them, they seem fine. When im on this guy tanking, and I get hit I feel like each hit is absolutely rocking me.
try it and let us know!
Whats the worst that could happen? You die a painful and slow death. Your guild kicks you. Your spouse/SO leaves you. Your cat pees in your shoes. Then your boss fires you for picking the wrong stats.
Pffft worth the risk!
I am glad we are on the same page.
waits in anticipation
I would have to swap off of Night Fae. I dont have the time to grind the reknown.
I use magistrates judgment and have 9% haste. It works great! I can keep SOTR up 100% of the time and use WOG. I often cap my SOTR buff at 13 seconds.
No one uses this build because the guides tell you not too. I have tested it thoroughly during beta and have more dps and healing using this legendary over others.
Here is my log of a raid fight. As you can see I had SOTR up 93% of the time. Would be higher but I had to run some rebuffs out of raid.

Magister’s is the de-facto defensive lego. It fixes poor play better than anything else a prot paladin can do. After a certain point it’s pretty wasteful but it is certainly the most comfortable lego when it comes to “perfect” play.
Any of the other lego’s will give more overall dam with good play though.
It’s really good for Prot PvP.
Actually it’s the highest LEGO skill cap and if used correctly does the most dps.
I wait until Magistrates Judgment procs to use SOTR. If I’m at 3 holy power I don’t use SOTR. I will hold off to see if magistrates judgement procs and then use SOTR. If I get to 5 holy power then of course I use SOTR to not over cap holy power but I can usually manage to get a proc in there somewhere. This is the only LEGO that requires extra attention and therefore requires higher skill cap to have maximum success.
magistrates stacks twice. Idk why you’re wasting judge debuffs just for a lego proc.
I never waist judgement debuffs.
From MoP to BFA, shield of the righteous did not have 100% uptime, so you played around the downtime by timing it for low damage periods, boss casts, offtanking, kiting or covered that downtime with other stuff like cooldowns, externals, cc.
If you played shadowlands prot with 0 haste, you’d go back to playing like that.
