What if xuen was a permanent pet instead of a temporary pet?

genuinely curious what peoples thoughts on xuen in general are.

i wish hit combo didnt exist because i think xuen is a much cooler option and just a little bit of extra passive damage is so boring.

I’d be for it.

Xuen is very cool, but maybe not something a monk would just have around all the time. He’s a tiger god, basically.

Ban-Lu on the other hand, he’d definitely chill with us all day.

I’d totally be thrilled with either one of them.

That sounds pretty cool actually. It would thematically fit the monk well, and would make us a third melee class with a pet.

But that got me thinking what if Mistweavers had a permanent Chi-ji aspect? A ton of details would need to be worked out, but a permanent bird assisting a Mistweaver doesn’t sound too far off the mark. In order for Mistweavers to be successful at being melee healers, we rely much more on smart heals than other classes.

4th spec confirmed!

You heard it here first folks!

thats a good point i forgot about ban-lu either way just anything but hit combo please

I would be upset with it to be honest. It wouldn’t fit with the monk theme. The significance of tigers, cranes, that sort of thing is the gracefulness and characteristics of those creatures are adapted into styles of kung fu. Praying Mantis style, Eagle Claw, Crane style, etc. The monk class pays a lot of cool homage to martial arts movies and anime. We have style and I want us to stay in the realm of 70’s martial arts movies. Instead I would like them to work on making brewmaster kinda look more drunken master style movements, like the opening cinematic to MoP. I think there is some good work that can be done there

I still rather invoke xuen was more like a buff on the WW.
So like an energy armor around the monk in the shape of xuen himself, then just works regularly after that
