What If WoW's Trading Post Featured Full Cosmetic Sets from StarCraft and Diablo?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been thinking about how the World of Warcraft Trading Post could expand and I had an idea—how cool would it be if Blizzard added full cosmetic ensemble sets from their other popular franchises, like StarCraft and Diablo? It feels like a natural fit given how the Trading Post already celebrates Blizzard’s diverse worlds and offers a ton of cosmetic options.

Here’s how I see it:

StarCraft-Inspired Sets:

  • Terran Marine Armor: Imagine your character decked out in a set of iconic Terran Marine power armor—or even the sleek Ghost suit. The mix of futuristic designs and customization options would give any WoW class a unique, sci-fi twist.
  • Protoss Armor: If you love elegance and high-tech style, a full Protoss armor set could be amazing. Think glowing golden tones, holographic accents, and sharp, sleek shapes that scream advanced alien tech.
  • Zerg-Inspired Gear: For the more brutal look, a Zerg-themed ensemble could feature chitinous, insectoid armor with bio-organic textures. Perfect for players who like to embrace the terrifying and alien aesthetics of the Zerg Swarm.

Diablo-Inspired Sets:

  • Barbarian Armor: A full set of Barbarian gear, with its rugged and intimidating look, could make your character feel like a true warrior. With massive axes and the bulky, primal style, it would bring that raw power of Diablo into WoW.
  • Necromancer Robes: For fans of darker, more mystical designs, a Necromancer set would be incredible. Think tattered robes, skulls, eerie glowing effects, and maybe even a skeletal companion to follow you around.
  • Angel/Demon-Themed Gear: Imagine a celestial set with shining wings, halos, and other holy elements—or a demonic set with fiery effects, horns, and a dark, corrupted look. These could represent the ongoing battle between Heaven and Hell, which would work beautifully in WoW.

Why This Would Be Great:

  • Appealing to Blizzard Fans: Both StarCraft and Diablo have huge followings, and offering iconic gear from these universes would be a fantastic way to celebrate Blizzard’s rich legacy. It’s a fun nod to their other franchises.
  • Enhancing Customization: The Trading Post is already all about giving players the freedom to express themselves, and adding these full ensemble sets would take customization to the next level. It would give players more ways to express their personalities through their character’s look.
  • Cross-Franchise Appeal: Introducing StarCraft and Diablo designs into WoW would likely attract players who might not be as active in WoW but are fans of the other Blizzard games. It could help bridge the gap between the communities and encourage people to try something new.

What do you think? Would you love to see full sets from StarCraft or Diablo in the Trading Post? Are there other Blizzard-themed outfits you’d want to wear in WoW?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Considering how many special cosmetic crossovers have already happened from time to time in Blizz games, I would not be surprised at all to see such a thing come to the trading post.

As for what I think about it? Well, there are so many themes within WoW, that as long as it’s still in the style of WoW, I think it’d work out pretty well. And as a mechagnome, anything Starcraft would probably fit my tech aesthetic and I’d love it! And my pets are always bugs so… that’d go well too.

Definitely! Protoss armor would look really good on a mechagnome.

I was thinking it would look great on a draenei.
