What if transmog was learned on "discovery"

As in you don’t need to win it, loot it, or equip it.

Simply seeing it drop, you’d earn the appearance. It’d be a “discovery” thing, like you found/saw X item, congrats, now you can tmog it

So in a boss kill, anyone who’s there for the kill, earns the appearances of whatever drops.

Tmog should be something fun, and not tied to power of an item. So those who want the item for power, congrats, and everybody wins since you all get the tmog.

Why does tmog need such tight restrictions and only 1 person can get the appearance etc etc

Remove loot drama, and just add fun!

I would still want the piece.

If I lose the roll, I don’t care. But I don’t want a figment of a piece if I can have the piece.

They need to use their own example from D3 and have it count and stay by the item only being in your bags at some point, regardless if it wasn’t ever permanently bound to you.

Group loot transmog roll should be for the appearance while the piece itself goes to a need roll.

People around here might stop whining if they did that.

This makes zero sense for transmog.

Heck sure why not. Would make getting sets a helluvalot faster.

With TWW you could get all class sets done on one character this way (except PvP)

(Would it be likely they’ll do this? Probably not)

Hmm, yeah, too bad it’ll never happen.

We should have 2 rolls for the same item 1 for transmog and the other for gear, so if i dont need the gear but i want the trasmog i can roll that 1 get the real item the other one the transmog

I think the better idea is to make it so that if I collect the mythic version of raid mog, I also get the LFR, Normal, and Heroic version of that item.

Get the Heroic/Mythic raiders who want mog out of LFR, so they can’t be complained about.

that would make it too easy and we all know Blizzard doesnt like easy. Gotta be as obtuse and FOMO as possible to keep you subbed. which is why it took them how many years of dragging their posteriors to finally allow people to learn armor types outside of the one their class mainly wears.

How? Idc if seeing an item gives the transmog. I still want the item.

How does it make any sense to whine about not having a useless piece in your bags if you got the appearance automatically???

A) Not whining. If I lose the roll I lose the roll. I always dunk on people here who whine about losing rolls.

B) I value vendor gold and Enchanting mats more than the average person. I do not take part in world content or gold making methods because I do not enjoy them. To people doing Dragon Races every day or who have been living off a WoD trust fund, it might be worthless. But instanced content in this game hardly offers the gold to sustain doing.

We’re talking about a transmog roll. For transmog. Why do you care about having a piece of gear in your bags if you roll for transmog??

Deargodinheaven get them elsewhere. This is just nonsensical at best.

I’m not even entertaining this further.

We’re talking about not needing a transmog roll because in OPs scenario you would get the transmog just from seeing the drop.

Then they can get gear elsewhere and I can have an equal chance at a reward for taking part in content.

You say it’s nonsense, other games literally do this lol.

how about we make bullions permanent and they can only be used for transmog in normal seasons

lol i like this

And not what I’m talking about if you read my post.

Another nonsensical comment.

Moving on.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. No hard feelings, down to move on.

That is a clever idea!

:cupcake: :cupcake: :cupcake: for you!

I wonder how much work it would take on Blizzard’s end.
