I ‘grew up’ on an RPPVP server (VeCo is for fite) and played there from mid 2009 until about 2017. One month would be cakewalk on easy street - especially with how much of the game that I enjoy is instanced.

and i was on the alliance side and saw a horde hit squad went after him in Iron forge

oh wow, what a cool memory. thank you for reminding me. I just asked my wife about this and she remembered that little dude, too. I don’t recall his name, but there was a forsaken lock that would absolutely wreck me. Whenever I saw them, after attempted to live for a bit longer, I would just /dance. After they murdered me once, though, they would leave me be.
Kind of like they were just making sure I didn’t forget…

I would only level my alts because of the xp boost. War mode sucks, especially in the dragon isles. I would like war mode if I didnt always have someone with no life kill me instantly.
i am taking a shot in the dark were you on wrath era by any chance if so do you remember a deathknight that got replaced at the lk fight for the guild master friend by any chance.

I was playing during Wrath in VeCo, yeah, but I wasn’t replaced at that point. In fact, I started raiding with my first guild on Fair as a holy paladin in ulduar, TOC, and ICC. Do you recall the guild name? I was in Guardians of the Light as my first guild.

Is that was the case then I would be playing my back log of other games instead.
I’d park myself either above the Sword of Silithus, or in Storm Peaks, to wait it out.
I would log out and not log in again until it was over. Plenty of other games out there I can enjoy.
