Let’s say Blizzard completely removed the faction barrier, you have Orcs walking around Stormwind, Humans partying in Orgrimmar, etc. There’s no more point in having separate faction alt lists. So my question is this. Without the faction barrier, What would your alt list look like? Would you change the race of one of your characters to that of what was once the opposite faction?
All of my foxes would make their way to Stormwind and vibe.
What’s factions precious?
You’re acting like I need a faction to hate Night Elves.
Same as they are now. Alliance on one, horde on another. Since there’s no longer a server limit I would like to have them all on one. But no way I’m paying for it. And besides, warbands will resolve the issue soon enough.
I, gǎřřøśħ, orc warrior main would hate this idea
fighting along side foxes is fine, but I draw the line the moment I’m fighting alongside a more muscular kul tiran
I mean, as far as alts go the faction barrier is long gone with the ability to mail and guild together.
Soon as that happened I started switching some alts over to Horde races.
I already have an alt of each race for unlocking Heritage Armor, so I wouldn’t be effected. It would be really weird for awhile seeing Humans and Dwarves in Orgrimmar or Orcs and Tauren in Stormwind. Already going to be strange seeing Earthen in Orgrimmar in TWW.
Ok… So what would your alt list look like?
My problem is my Horde and Alliance are separated via server. So I can’t mail certain things like Gold. Maybe Warbands might solve this in the future.
I think retail should go in this direction.
The only thing I ever really liked about the different factions was when Pally was alliance only, and Shaman was horde only. But they got rid of that all the way back in TBC.
I would absolutely play some of the horde races that I currently do NOT play because I don’t play horde. I don’t know why, other than I can autopilot the Ally quests and my favorite color is blue. The red makes me agitated and aggressive.
Your guild name and your speech pattern. You must have just started first year at a California college.
Faction barrier gone? I’d have more Horde race toons cause I could go rp with my friends then without having to worry about language barrier and being attacked.
Im not sure if i would do anything differently tbh
I already play race over faction. It just so happens that my favourite races are alliance… and vulpera.
I don’t need factions to hate a bunch of murderous, green-skinned savages from another planet, the risen dead who think little of using flesh-melting chemical weapons on large population centers, cannibal fiends who sacrifice there own and others to their dark gods, and what other reprobates to their banner flock despite frequent atrocity.
Also if you unironically think like that, then you have no choice but to agree that video games and violent movies cause real-life violence or be labeled an abject, undeniable hypocrite.
After shadowlands end narrative of choosing appropriate death locations. Kyrians with Forsworn. That this leads us to a new point in history where players should determine their respective homes.
Gilneans in Gilneas. Night elves in Suramar or even Silvermoon. Orcs among those that represent them best.
We’ve seen orcs working with night elves for Earthen Ring, DEHTA, etc.
The faction war made sense in WC1 and 2. But by 3…it seemed petty and loosely held.
The undead torn between past and present lives. Derek and Zelling. Lillian. Ebon blades.
All this points to things being less red vs blue. More shades of gray. Warcraft is probably heading towards an ESO One Tamriel
I kind wish we had a reverse War mode, like you’d go to your factions emissary building (the one you start the allied race quests from) & you’d be able to toggle on ambassador mode like war mode it’s have it’s own shard/phase so you couldn’t use it to spy on the other faction & you could only toggle it off in your faction capital so you couldn’t get a 40 on top of say a faction leader then kill them, you’d be able to visit & explore their cities, towns, ect. buy from vendors (at a jacked up price cuz ya know opposite faction) mayb other stuff.
oh god no… NO, that sounds horrible, F the horde!
based
Horde members are evil and they need to be stopped in the most violent way possible (especially the horde pandas)
There’s very little reason to have factions anymore, so I’m all for it to be honest. Cross-faction guilds + Cross-realm guilds in the next expansion will make it so it barely even matters but not being able to quest, trade (outside of instances) and queue dungeons, timewalking, LFR and regular BGs cross-faction is dumb.
worgen are a walking plague, a disease. hypocrisy is alive and well among the alliance always.
