What if the Void's plan is just to make everyone lose?

It seems like the six cosmic forces are in a deadlock. The birth of Azeroth would upset that balance. Everyone is either trying to convert it or destroy it. What if shadow’s plan is to simply have it be born and destroy everyone? It seem strange, but it is starting to look like everything the Old Gods have been doing, in some abstract since, has been to make the forces of Azeroth, the heroes, strong enough to defeat their rivals. If they haven’t given mortals the Curse of the Flesh, there wouldn’t any heroes here today. They tend to show up at critical movements to test our strength or intervene in a situation. Yogg-Saron showing up right when it the Scourge was at its peak at destroying Azeroth to essentially make the heroes stronger. N’zoth showed up to stop a major war right before The Jail did his thing which would have left Azeroth in a weakened state. But it is not like they are secretly the good guys to Azeroth, they will use any opportunity to try to invade and corrupt when they can. But if they can’t, it seems like they will setup situations where at least the other side’s efforts are thwarted. Maybe one of the futures they can see is where none of the cosmic forces can beat the heroes? Or maybe all the defeats by the heroes they suffered is part of some grander plan that will leave them victorious in the end? Or maybe their death is inevitable? I donno…

What do you think?

That seems likely, that they’re playing all sides, and take wins where they can. They’re nothing if not patient.

The Void already fully corrupted a Titan Soul to their ranks! Just because Sargeras killed it does not mean it hasn’t already gone to their Cosmic Plane!

The Void Lords thus only need Azeroth to kill off the other Cosmic Forces while they continue to use their Void Titan to shape the Void to their whims! The Chronicle mentions them coveting the Titans’ unique power not their capacity to stay in existence!

The lying Dreadlords were the ones stating the Void wanted to bring every mote of reality under the Void Lords’ sway yet before that the Chronicle only states they wanted the Titans’ power of creation!

The Void Lords now have it so all they have to do is wait for us to kill off their rivals while they play with their infinite cruel sadistic possibilities within the Void for all eternity!

I dont think you are wrong… but I dont think you are right either. Its more likely they are using the Lich Kings plan but more extreme. They want us stronger, so when we eventually are corrupted and join them we will have massive strength.

This assumes that there isn’t an afterlife in the Shadowlands that all Titan souls go to - something that has been hinted at for awhile now. I wouldn’t count on something being corrupted by another primal force meaning it automatically changes where it goes when it dies.

I think the Void is too busy being paranoid about their thousand truths to have anything as solid and concrete as a plan. At best there are probably individual beings like Xalatath pursuing their own schemes and attempting to assist or thwart one another as it benefits their own plans.

Sort of like the Chaos Gods from Warhammer, all have the same general plan(Death of the universe) but due to their chaotic nature, they end up pursuing their own agendas and fighting each other :wolf:

I kinda thought that bringing everyone down to stop any supremacy of any of the cosmic powers would be fel/disorder’s natural purpose.

The Void’s weakness is also its greatest strength; it can see all possible outcomes but cannot tell which will come to pass. The Old Gods had layered back-up plans on top of back-up plans, literally sewing tentacles in as many potential outcomes as possible to ensure their survival. Granted, these are only the Old Gods. If the Void Lords are anything like their spawn…oof.

Interestingly, we’ve only seen one force utterly dominate the others so far. And it’s not the Void…
