like some addon that joins you into an automated dungeon Q just like lfg on retail
but of course it wont port you to the dungeon and would be server only
but can it even be done? and if so , would it be considered a straight hack?

It was available at launch but the backlash against it resulted in Blizzard breaking it’s function.
The criticism was in my opinion, a little exaggerated. I’m curious if perception has changed since then.
Even if it were allowed, it would only work with others who had the add on.

Not true. The current ones can advertise in chat channels and can parse chat channels to find people.

No, its an option to post there and the delays are pretty reasonable. Just like anything else, it’s up to each person to decide how often they want to post to a channel.
You see people spamming in LookingForGroup without an addon too. It doesn’t take an addon to do that.
The minimum post frequency is set at 60 seconds. So it’s pretty reasonable.
People spam way more than once a minute with no addon at all.
This isn’t really an issue. In history there has been a slew of addons that worked and were popularized almost specifically because everyone would be expected to have it.
Wasn’t there an add-on to make everyone naked in Vanilla? Is that available for Classic?
Yea it existed briefly but was buggy to my understanding. Blizzard agreed it was unintended game mechanics and broke its functionality.
