What If Kaja'mite Is A Type Of Fel Crystal?

Let’s look at the facts:

  • It’s a green crystal that glows.
    • Fel famously forms into green glowing crystals.
  • It has magical properties that mutated a Race that was closely related to Pygmies into Goblins.
    • Because Pygmies have human-like skin, we can assume that it was the Kaja’mite that made Goblins green.
    • The Kaja’mite famously altered their mind, giving them increased intelligence.
    • All of that is similar to the effects of Fel on Orcs, which gave them green skin and altered their minds with increased bloodlust.

Now, about Fel:

We know Fel is the magic of Disorder, and we know Disorder is a natural and important part of our universe according to the designs of the First Ones.

And Azeroth seems to have some natural amounts of all Cosmic Forces. Her blood created the Well of Eternity, which is Arcane (Order), and it turns out that the Holy Light (occasionally Void) Crystal Beledar is a big chunk of Giga-Azerite. There’s Icecrown, which is a place that connects to the Shadowlands (which is why ICC was built there).

Maybe Kaja’mite is a little bit of natural Disorder Magic formed from Azeroth herself. A more benign form of Fel.

If true, it’d probably be the first Fel thing to have a net positive without any real negatives. (Decline in mental faculties if you stop using it, but that’s not too bad.)

Kaja is more of a mental strength booster, and Fel seems to be physical.

Well, also it’s addictive, but I’m not sure if that’s natural of Kaja’mite itself, or just the cola lol.

One thing I’m thinking of, since the story of Undermine returns to Goblins mining Kaja’mite out of southern Zandalar- is their intelligence returning?

Because lore-wise, they’ve been running out of the stuff for years, and this would be the first time since late Cataclysm that they found any new reserves.

It’s said they searched all over the world for thousands of years, but found very little if any.

Their intelligence was on a noticeable decline as a result.

Also, Undermine was established because it was once an enormous Kaja’mite mine way back, interesting sidenote.

Could just be a crystal with different color schematics related to the Arcane.

Looking at this thread made me overthink too much.

I have no problem believing fel is to blame for goblins.

As soon as you made that connection, it explained so many things.

Its just a recycled idea from tbc with the apexsis crystals

Like how they spontaneously explode.

It’s more likely to be a type of Azerite. Like Beledar. Maybe resonating with life energies from the Rootlands instead of the fire/order/light combo platter that seems to be going on with Beledar.

They’re basically the same thing, in terms of a macguffin “element” that grants intelligence boosts.

Tribe of intelligent gorillas in Zandalar because of Kaja’mite exposure, and the Zandalari decided to leave them alone.

On Draenor/Outland, Apexis crystals unlock dormant intelligence, allowing Ogres to become smart. And Arrakoa were already using them, as storage devices.

Main difference though, is that the Apexis shards themselves contain the memories of the creators, and bestow the finder with previous knowledge.

Kaja’mite has no such properties- you just get ideas, but that’s it. The ideas are seemingly wholly original.

Fel can improve both, depending on how you use it.

There are plenty of Fel based beings with super-intelligence and no muscle whatsoever.

Considering that Goblins, Kajamite, and Pigmies are around Kezan, the location of Mimiron’s lab should be really close. Surprised they didn’t offer that as lore about Kajamite experiments for Undermine. :world_map::robot:

Yeah, I guess they assume people know that goblins are just uplifted by Mimron

Perhaps they’ll retcon it? I don’t believe that bit of lore is ingame. :8ball::robot:

Why retcon it, it’s a part of the game lore since vanilla if you go to the titan keeper labs. They just didn’t mention it this time, mostly because mimiron is the one titan keeper people keep forgetting about. Mostly because he just delt with goblins and gnomes and most people dislike these races.

I don’t think they will retcon it, but at the same time it doesn’t mean much.

Whether Mimiron was feeding them Kaja’mite or they were eating it on their own, there’s basically no difference in practical terms.

The fact that it was Mimiron specifically who was doing it also doesn’t mean much. The Titans and their keepers did all sorts of experiments with all sorts of things. They even created an Old God in Zandalar by experimenting with the Void to figure out the Old Gods’ weaknesses.

It’s basically an empty detail that doesn’t add or subtract anything to the lore. I see no reason to retcon it.

He just smiled and handed me a Kaja’mite sandwich. And said! Do you come from a land down under?

Aye, all in All, goblins being uplifted has less to do with the goblins and more about mimirons personality of a scientists and experimenting with kajamite to the point he turned a primitive race into super geniuses.

It’s like gnomes being titanforged beings being afflicted by the curse of flesh. It is more lore about the titans and titan keepers and the titan forged than the new races.

No, it is crystallized blood of Azeroth; lore info about this is in game

That’s Azerite, not Kaja’mite.

I now happen to think they are both after reading this thread, Kaja’mite and Azerite are both blood of Azeroth

white blood cells and red blood cells.
