I casually raid and do world quests mostly in Legion and BFA, I’m not a fan of doing instanced content for long periods of time unless its scheduled hence the casual raiding. Horrific Visions I do the bare minimum on this character only, just enough to get my extra resists every week; most of my alts don’t past rank 5 and are done. As an altaholic with a low attention span, I swap characters frequently going from one to another. I loathe mythic+ in both Legion and BFA, only doing them when the guild forces me to go along.
Torghast even with its weekly cap limits doesn’t really interest me all that much, I may do enough to keep up with my own Legendary upgrades, but that will probably be the extent I go. With my alts would probably get the basic item and stop there. This can’t be your only end game trump card, what other end game content will there be?
Then that’s fine. The most they said you’d really do is 30 mins per week to get legendary mats and if you don’t want to do more that’s fine. Past that it’s cosmetics.
And an altoholic with a low attention span, yet you did that many paragon chests etc… my god did I vomit in my mouth when I read that post you did earlier.
You seemingly don’t do content that requires said legendaries but I’m sure you can stomach a little torghast for the mats even on one character… if not then do what you do in bfa. Bare minimum.
Its paid for my game since 2014, WoD mission table got me my first 3 million gold with 11 characters. Legion mission board + emissary + paragon caches with 12 chars got me another 6 million gold. BFA I made well over 8 million gold so far, there’s still untold months left to go!
All of which will be gated behind Torghast progress on a per character basis.
I remember when I got the 10k world quest achievement, and a 25k one appeared in my uncompleted achievements. A couple of weeks later it disappeared. I felt so cheated.
The game should not be designed around people who become nauseous at the thought of doing world quests.
I’m not sure what else is there? I thought it would be armor upgrades (like horrific), but I guess not?

Seems like this will be another “no alt play” Expansion, like BFA is for me. I’m FINALLY bothering to run my 120 Hunter through the introductory cloak thing, but that is about it. Otherwise, she is more my rep character, just getting 82/100 (go honor hold… never bothered to max that before )
That’s fine, I get WoD that people passively got gold… Legion was ok… but I just am saying it’s something that I can’t fathom to do it’s so mindnumbingly boring. I make my token worth spending a few hours a week at the ah crafting , restocking , and flipping.
I just burned out in Legion from running emissaries, wqs etc.
Still, you can’t have low attention spans if you put in that time on so many alts every week.
Aside from Ion telling us it is “alt friendly”, exactly what you you referring to specifically that makes it something a player who likes to play alts would consider “alt friendly”?
Despite your claim that people who play alts want everything mailed to them for existing, I’m looking for actual examples, not slams against people who play alts in various ways.
I got bored doing my first cloak quest then I started hearing about how terrible visions are so I’m not doing any of it. And I’m just fine having fun doing other stuff. So I imagine that if I don’t like Torghast, it’ll be the same.
