What Race and Class would Edward Elric be from Fullmetal Alchemist if he was in the world of warcraft? He wouldn’t be a leather, plate, nor mail wearer class. He probably be around between two classes that is like Magic in nature with Alchemist.
I’ve never seen FMA, but here we go.
I’m gonna go human enhance shaman, and if we aren’t allowed to mix-and-match like that, then… Maybe Mag’har orc or Kul Tiran? I don’t know.
He uses elemental attacks and melee attacks from the pictures I saw. Seems to be the most likely candidate.

He attempted Necromancy that one time, and he has mechanical replacement for limbs, and his most notable physical trait is being super short…
So… Mechagnome Deathknight with Alchemy and Enchanting as professions.

Caveat being that he only attempted Necromancy once, and then became possibly its staunchest enemy. Granted, he pities rather than hates those who turn to Necromancy out of grief.
Human, I’d say (he’s not quite mechagnome short- really more like the younger end of adolescent, height-wise he’d probably be slightly above a dwarf), with fluff/unique artificial limbs (likely gnome-designed, given how articulate they are). I’d say either Mage (since having a downright supernatural intellect is sort of a mage thing, and alchemists in FMA are comparable to philosophers, whose skill is dependent on understanding the things they’re transmuting down to an atomic level) or a unique “quasi-Shaman” that doesn’t use totems.
I’d say arcane mage with a bit of enhancement shaman in there. Human who probably got a prosthetic from the mecha gnomes.
In wow lore arcane mage is all about tapping into the forces of the universe. Vast knowledge and intense study and sheer talent to command forces beyond human cognition. Add into that shamans who are grounded, they could theoretically tap into the tectonics of the earth (how they use alchemy in Amestrius).
So take the intense study and mystical elements of arcane and mix in the grounded nature of shaman, with some melee skills so (enhancement). And I think you’ve got an Edward Elric character.
One look at the world of Azeroth, he’d feel an urge to grow up and command a Starship instead. 
(Some of you might get the reference, it’s a tad obscure.)

For a full 6 months I rp’d a knock-off Alexander Louise Armstrong and it was the funnest thing.
Could we NOT have anime knockoffs infest this game? I like anime but people should get creative and make an original character without it coming off as an OP shonen protagonist/attention hogging Gary Stu or badly written Sonic recolor.
