What if Atiesh became a Legendary in TWW

It wouldnt be the first time players fixed a broken Atiesh and Khadgar is not likely to use it anymore.

Was in vanilla

They should do what they did with Frostmourne and Frost DKs, and just turn the shards of Atiesh into a wand and an off-hand lol

do you really want another modern WoW legendary?

  1. the legendary itself will be quite lackluster - providing nothing meaningful to your character except a minor dmg buff.
  2. your character won’t be getting anything extra that season as the eligible class/specs will be balanced around them having the legendary.
  3. there will be zero deterministic way to acquire said legendary - this could take you months of heroic clears while it takes another person one LFR clear.

When blizzard gives a spec a legendary, they are removing 5 talent points from that spec. the spec does not get these talent points back until they acquire the legendary, which will undoubtedly be a long, arduous and expensive process.

That sounds more like what they did with the Lich King Crown. Nah, either get the whole damned thing or not at all.

And why wouldn’t Khadgar still use it?

Are we going to get human druids

that would be funny
and ill be like well if we did not get to remake frostmourne why should you get to remake the staff lol

Khadgar cant even walk anymore. Let him retire in peace with Modera.

No to that. Khadgar is gonna be with us until he looks like his TBC model.

No, it’s exactly what they did with Frostmourne. Frostmourne was broken into two major pieces, so they turned them into two weapons.

Frostmourne was one 2H sword, and it was split into two 1H swords.

Atiesh is one Staff, it should be split into a Wand and an Offhand (because we can’t dual wield wands lol)

No thanks. Not with the way they’ve been doing legendaries lately where your class gets balanced around something that’s an RNG drop, a stupidly long grind, and a huge cost.

they might ruin Atiesh if they did that… making a new legendary staff from scratch would be the better route…maybe a void version of Atiesh for us Shadow Priests… that for reasons can be used by the other staff using casters. Not BS RNG like DF did though…make it like we scour the wreckage of Dalaran and find the splintered staff and from there we slowly try to make a new staff maybe based on Atiesh but not quite the same staff. Sadly it’ll probably be some void burned Atiesh pieces from the last boss that is no longer recognizable as Atiesh and as we try to repair it becomes a brand new thing entirely

My mage would chase it down IMMEDIATELY just to have the crow form, kinda like my blue dragon form from Tarecgosa’s staff in the firelands which I have on my Druid.

Absolutely. I would love to be able to wield Atiesh. Though, I’m afraid they could only give it to mages.

Fyr’alath provided a nice passive and pretty cool active ability. Also, it was a fiery axe that could tear open rifts between planes, previously wielded by the one of the Big Bads of the expansion, which is pretty rad.
Atiesh could have the ability to turn user into a raven or/and open a portal to Karazhan.

Screw the parses, as long as boss dies and everybody put genuine effort into it, I’m happy.

I’m not sure if Nasz’uro had it, but Fyr’alath had a bad luck protection. You just need to kill the boss every week and eventually it would drop. What is it if not a deterministic way to obtain it? If it drops to other people early, good for them, I’ll get my legendary eventually, too. Though Blizz could say in-game how many kills it would take.

A Legendary item shouldn’t be too easy to obtain. I actually like this way of obtaining a legendary item more than just having a very small chance of drop of a legendary that you can use right away, but it’s a matter of taste.

for most people, this averaged about 12 heroic fyrakk kills or three months.

they won’t.

have fun with three months of clearing heroic content that you no longer need because you have everything from that heroic raid EXCEPT the legendary.

also, your entire guild also very likely has the entire loot table of every boss by that time on heroic, so they won’t be clearing heroic just for your legendary.

so, it will be an individual pugging process for you.

just be careful what you wish for. hopefully blizzard does give you a legendary, then you’ll understand the issues revolving the modern legendaries.

priests, druids, warlocks and mages all could wield atiesh in vanilla… (maybe shamans too, i am not sure about that)

if atiesh becomes a legendary, it will become a legendary for all casters.

and i hope blizzard learned from their mistakes regarding Nazsuro and Fyralath, but i wouldn’t count on it.

This right here… OMG this needs done. lol

why don’t you just take some time and have a gander at all of the fyralath legendary threads from earlier this year?

here’s one:

He’s dead, that’s Xala’tath.

Or hunter arrows. LOL
