What if he killed us and made us death knights. But the truth was too horrible to realize we entered a disociative state where we experience a delusion where Tirion saves us and then deathwing returns, a massive new land is discovered to the south, we go to an alternate past of draenor, the legion invades again, we experience the fourth war and then we go to the shadowlands.
The reason the stories have been getting crazier and crazier is because we’re started to lose our sanity and our minds are devolving.
Soon we’re going to the dragon isles in our minds. In hopes of a final escape. Where we will soar the skies on friendly dragons. But nothing will ever make us feel truly free and the limited flying capabilities of these dragons are a sign that we’re still bound to the lich kings control.

I liked being an evil lk thrall as I assaulted the town.
You killed my family!
Yes I did. Fun times…
I could go back to that DK stage and be fine with it.

At present, we are all just minds trapped in a delusional state while our skeletons wander Icecrown mindlessly.

Matthew Patrick of Game Theory made one of many controversial theories pertaining to the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, being Dream Theory. Simply, Dream Theory implies, that in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, it is proven that the events of this game and the previous three installments in the franchise, have all been a dream in the player character of Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, the crying child’s, mind.
With new installments of the franchise coming to fruition after the fourth, as well as literature, dream theory was very quickly, and easily, proven to be entirely false and simply inconceivable. However, in the theory’s infancy, it was still considered to be outrageous and, for a lack of a better term, ‘garbage’.
That is the best I can explain the situation without delving into Five Nights at Freddy’s lore.
