What If A New Spec Was Added?

If you could choose a spec for one of your favorite classes, what kind of spec would it be? I feel like this would be applicable with all the classes we have now and the races they’re able to be. For instance, for a Mage, you could add a whole new branch of magic- maybe a different element? Heck, you can even add a healing spec that is based off some sort of Arcane/Fire mix that uses its magic to bind and cure wounds.

What do you think?

I think hunters could have a tank spec. There have been times when the tank would go down and my pet and I would finish the fight.

Sharpshooter spec for Hunters, dual wielding pistols.

If they added a new spec I’d like it to be a Hunter spec for old survival. That’s kind of adding one back, though. A brand new one would have to be a Shaman Spec focused on Totems

Chi-archer for monk. A mid range, bow spec that infused chi with arrows.

Shamans should have a tank spec. Name it like, “geomancer” or something rock related.

They use a 2 hander or a 1 hander and shield with rockbiter and rock based abilities.

Warrior healer spec, we heal with a bandaid shotgun.

Actually I’d split mistweaving and fistweaving into their own separate specs. Got tons of ideas on how to do it.

Healing Mage. Uses Time and Frost magic to heal and close wounds. It’s cool they’re finally utilizing time magic to heal with Dracthyr at least.

I’d make a healing spec for DH that uses souls like vengeance does, but for allies instead.

I feel like a Shaman tank is the most obvious one that should be added. It’s already pseudo existed in the past.

Demon hunter rightfully deserves a third spec.

They aren’t good tanks tho. They were intended to be tanks in classic wow(off tanks) but that went south real fast.

I would do two versions of Demonology: one a tank and one a DPS. The DPS one would have meta and be like it was back in WoD or MoP, I think it was MoP. The tank one would, instead, just have you combine with demons for different things like:

Combine with VW for every spell giving you a shield for 20% of the damage you deal.

Combine with the imp to get a Mass Dispel that burns 1 magic effect from an ally and up to 5 other allies nearby the person you dispelled.

Combine with the Succubus/Incubus to wear a short skirt, and to make all spells slow the mob by 25%, if it can be slowed.

Combine with the Felhunter to make all spells have a 50% chance to silence/interrupt the target you damage for 1 second.

Combine with the Felguard to make all spells have a 50% chance to stun the target for 1 second.

Also during this spec your CD makes you become Gul’dan himself and do something that Gul’dan can do. What that is I don’t know, but something that he can do.

A tanking spec for Shamans using Rockbiter weapon and Earth Elemental magics.

I like this, but I would also argue that you heal by yelling at people. That would be hilarious.

I’d seperate Unholy into Zitbuster and then the other one would be the actual Necromancer it should be, Master of the Undead army.

I’d like Discipline spec to be renamed into Disco, with the only thing they do is force everyone and everything into disco dancing, including dropping a disco ball, too. This includes raid bosses. The only thing they say in voice is “Disco Disco” and they dance disco dance while healing.

I’d give Druids a fifth spec: “Fish” spec. The only thing they do is flop around like a Magikarp when they’re not in the water. That’s literally it.

I’d redo Survival Hunters as a healer spec, with making the current Survival spec into 2 other specs instead: Melee version would be called Spearman, the ranged one we had before would become Bowman. I’d also give them yet another new spec called “Trapper” that all they do is just throw Traps at people, just like the Trapper Assassins from D2 or PoE.

We already heal by yelling at people. Command shout or whatever it is called these days.

That ain’t healing people, that’s giving them more max HP.

Wouldn’t really say a full on archer, but have a mixed bag between chi based ranged abilities and bow base attacks.

Monk would benefit from a 4th spec due to their celestials; Oxen, Tiger, Dragon and Crane.

While mistweaver uses Crane - It feels a bit more support versus healer base. Which could still carry over. Ranged DPS that uses Crane for more group buffs while providing ranged attacks with chi, and using physical arrows to debuff the target(s).

Abilities like Spinning Fire Blossom could return and actually become useful as aspects of an encounter.

Something like each party member it touches it increases their damage by X% and its final damage is increased by how many players (upto X amount).

While the base line attacks would be ranged Tiger Palm = Tiger Roar, Black out Kick = Black out Blast, Rising Sun Kick = Rising Sun Burst. All basically using same animation, just producing a ranged attack with appropriate visual.
Though keep spinning crane kick sorta the same, but emmits quills when used, deals more damage to targets farther away versus closer.

Just a random thought.

It serve same function as a heal. I press it when silly warlock forget to look up from their action bar and miraculously bring them back from 1% health to 41% health :stuck_out_tongue:

I would reduce Druid back to 3 specs.

An actual necromancy specialization for death knights and not the pimple popper insult that unholy currently is.

Diablo 3 has a perfect example of a good necromancer set-up. Launching bone spikes, making walls of bones, summoning legions of undead, It’s a fun playstyle. Its honestly too bad blizzard never brought that into wow.
