I’ve been away since finishing the initial expansion of the “The world With In” Can someone fill me in. I’m hearing crazy stuff like the Blood Elves lose Quel’thalas. Is that true?
That’s just speculation for the next x-pack “Midnight”. It’s not in TWW.
We know the x-pack will be based in Quel’thalas, but not specifically how that will play out politically or if the Blood Elves “lose” the city.
I would bet that we go as invited guest.

It’s up in the air. Right now no one knows what’s going to happen.
Know about as much as you, but my guess is no, unless they haven’t learned their lesson in destroying past cities, and having to fix or put band aides to view them so players can be happy again.

Season 2 was about Gremlins. Turns out they have a major city just South West of The Ringing Depths.

To honestly catch you up, they had announced the Worldsoul Saga which introduced the War Within, Midnight, and Last Titan with vague details such as Dalaran’s destruction, Sunwell’s destruction, and then Titans in Northrend to which Metzen will be involved with new ideas somewhere in the middle of the War Within. 
This has never been stated.
We are returning to Quel’thalas because the Void wants to “snuff out the Light of the Sunwell” (quote is Metzen’s). We don’t really know what that means for the world and we don’t know if they succeed.
We know things “don’t go to plan” (more Metzen), but we don’t know what that plan is.
Anyone saying Silvermoon is destroyed is just speculating because some key art for Midnight appears to show Silvermoon. It could be a random tower that looks like Silvermoon. It could he Silvermoon. We have no idea.
It’s also just key art. Key art isn’t always depicting an event that happens. Remember the time Anduin, Alleria, and Thall battled the Nerubians together? It must have happened because it’s on the key art, right? It never happened.

Oh. I was thinking it meant more harm to the Sunwell. 
They did fight a nerubian army for the initial campaign before Alleria broke the Dark Heart although it wasn’t as iconic. 
That’s ‘fake news’.
Basically, some players want to be outraged by Midnight before it comes out, and that’s the best thing they could think of to be outraged by. It’s all based on a book cover, as I understand it.
I would ignore most of the rumors. We just know that the void is going to overrun the blood elf city and there’s a new story coming. Nobody really knows anything and we’re not gonna get any true insight until the end of summer when they do the big announcement and drop the actual trailer. In the meantime, it’s just a bunch of noise from a bunch of complainers.
