What healer is easiest?

Hello I am looking to start playing a healer for 8.3 still have a free 120 boost to use :stuck_out_tongue: what class would be the easiest to learn a healer on yet still strong enough to push high level mythic + content will be my focus. I have never once played a healer so just looking for something simple enough to get the hang of it.

If this game’s balance philosophy wasn’t somewhere between perplexing and totally nonsensical, I’d say an easy healer who pushes high level content is an oxymoron.

You should just play one that heals, that would be best and since you’re Horde I’m sure the dev’s can get your rotation down to just one button press :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Anyway op. I haven’t healed since legion. Buuuuuut if I had to suggest, perhaps Priest.

Paladin healing was just weird for me imo. Druids are great at raid heals rather than hyper focusing one tank. I mean I’ve seen them handle tank healing but imo they made great dps babysitters by keeping them alive.

I miss Cascade and Sanctuary.

Also everyone forgets Holy exists and just pays attention to Disc. Holy is pretty simple.

I mean I loved Disc when I played a priest alt in cata. But holy was nice when i casually healed legion dungeons with that toon.

for me most easiest healer is monk

How high are you thinking of pushing? 10, 15, 20?

Looooool whatvdid you just say about resto druid?!?!?!

Resto druid is a ramp class through and through. Especially in raid. 8 seconds prior start ramping by blanketing rejuvs, as damage hits wild growth, flourish cd. Or to make it more complicated we can stack.

Innervate, for increased spell power, ramp as I mentioned before, tranquility, wildgrowth, flourish, then continue with some regrowth to top or blanket some more rejuvs. You obviously dont play Rdruid very well if you dont get that.

Also, resto druids spells dont interact? Our mastery is our number one way we heal. The more hots on a target the more they heal. Oh god, this guy.

Disc priest and resto druid have the longest ramp times in raid out of any healer. And it takes the most getting used to out of all the healers. Playing disc or druid well, requires you to be checking timers and knowing what abilities hurt so you can ramp x amount of time before the ability hits.

Disc and r druid to be played well, require the most skill. The higher skill ceiling healers for sure to be played at higher levels. They require you to pay attention to timers, know what spells to ramp with, what interacts well, etc. Please dont give people information you are clearly uninformed for.

As someone who plays all healers, shaman and holy priest are pretty simple. Holy paladin can be really simple or fairly tough depending the distance you want to go. Druid and MW have hidden potential but for the most part are slightly harder to be average at compared to the first two mentioned. Finally disc, right now it takes a while to learn proper and things like grievous and bursting affixes will make you relearn all over again.

I like HPally and RShaman a lot. Between the two, I prefer playing Paladin when healing 5-mans. The only thing I would warn OP about is HPally’s mastery (the closer you are to your target, the better the heals) may feel a bit restrictive until you get the hang of it, and even then, not everyone is going to enjoy it.

Define easiest and for what part of the game you want to play. Then we might be able to help.

Not sure what the disconnect was on this one but there ya go, my man.

My fury warrior in it’s 455 gear often tops healing charts in both PvE and PvP. So I would have to say me…

On a serious note though. Im thinking the holy pallies can lay down some good HPS. Very easy to use. Your rotation to heal is to simply press two or three buttons over, and over and over again.

If you want to learn a class just lvl it … boost isn’t a good option . All healer classes are fun to play .
Priest it’s the classic choice
Paladin have some mana issues(or maybe it’s only me :joy:)
Monk and Druid are great for myth +
Shaman it’s nice too .

Coming from my experience, Mistweaver Monk.

These are pretty easy to use, not only just while casting Soothing Mist, you can instantly cast Enveloping Mist and Vivify without stopping, which that means, a HoT and an extra Heal on top of the heal, so that’s a lot of healing already…

…Not only Renewing Mist and Thunder Focus Tea, are pretty darn powerful to use, not only you can spec into Refreshing Jade Wind, and spam Spinning Crane Kick, contributing AoE heals and Damage close by easily, but also hardly be in the position of being mana starved. (Though i have played though easy content, so take that with a shovel of snow.)

If there’s ever a time where i show which is the best class to start healing with, i show them the monks.

I play all healers I’d have to say Shammy , Monk are easiest . Druid pally priest can be slightly more complex with CD and talent usage .

It’s druid and anyone who disagrees is wrong. You don’t even have to stop moving to cast.
