What headset do you guys use?

Been trying to find a nice headset but having bad luck and browsing amazon, pretty much all of them seem to have average reviews.

I just recently bought Runmus gaming headset off amazon because it had the best and most reviews… 4,282 reviews 77% gave it 5stars and only 28 bucks so might as well give them a try.

So I got them and the sound quality was awful and the sound was very low, I’m thinking maybe they were defective and I’m sending them back.

I used to love the turtle beach x12 headsets, I been through a lot of pairs of those over the years and finally they’re discontinued but they had the best sound quality and also let me turn off the bass.

I haven’t used any other headsets besides those turtle beach ones. So I wanted to ask around and see what kind you guys are using and had the best luck with.

Thanks

Since I don’t talk to others very often I use a set of AKG 240 studio headphones ($70) with a separate usb mic on my desk for the times I talk to others on discord, ventrilo, skype. On my laptop I use a set of Sony wh1000xm2 noise cancelling headphones ($350) on bluetooth. I have also used Sony Gold ps4 headphones on my pcs as well. They are ok for the price and both windows and mac detect the wireless usb connection easily.

I have found that most of the “gaming” headphones are just cheap junk with rgb and sharp angles to attract the eye more than the ear.

Thanks guys, I’ll check these out.

I just tried four different headsets - Hyperx Cloud Core, Hyperx Cloud II, Logitech G433, Corsair HS60.

I sent all back and kept the Hyperx Cloud Core. I felt like the 7.1 sound of the Cloud II was a bit gimmicky, it did sound ok, but it wasn’t worth $40 more over the Cloud Core.

Corsair felt huge on my head, and sounded nowhere near as good as the Cloud Core.

Logitech also felt heavier than the Clouds, wasn’t near as comfortable, and did not have the sound quality of the Cloud Core.

So, I am going to use Hyperx Cloud Core. They feel super comfortable and decently light, the sound quality I thought was amazing, especially compared to each of the others.

HyperX Cloud Flight. Expensive at full price, but totally worth it if its in your budget or if you can score them at a discount.

I just got some Arctis 7 wireless. really like them and they seem highly rated.
The Arctis PRO sounds better but are wired for about the same price .
