What has this game become

I swear, player versus player combat is the biggest waste of time this game has. I love SoD so far, it has been really great. You know outside of a being a hunter and consistently accused of being a bot because I hadn’t named my pet or was helping friends through quests in lower level areas, cuz all bots play hunters you know, REPORTED! Join up in a Bg? Sure, im not a pvper but its a nice way to get some decent gear. Been doing BFA and wsg in between. I kept getting swarmed by 5 or 6 enemies and kept dying, so I saw the flag carrier running up the side toward their base and followed behind in hopes of a 1v1 instead of 6v1 me being the 1. I ran to into the base with cheetah and ran into the little room on the bottom floor and shadowmelded to wait for the flag carrier. They showed I came out of meld and set my pet in and hit concussive shot. There was an ally with but they were closer and the enemy turned around and starting heading back out to avoid me. My all followed and I tailed behind. He died and by the time i got out (shaman had dropped a binding totem) more enemies had caught up and i had took one more out but not able to get the flag carrier. I got flamed in chat he said I was afk. I was not in fact afk. I may be a moron when it comes to pvp and I’ll take that on the nose but he told me he rerported me because i was “afk” and “didnt help in time to kill the flag carrier and make sure he didnt die”. I remarked I wasnt afk. I had middle of the the alliance in killing blows and hks but said I tried my best to help and get the jump on the flag carrier. Just take good pve rewards out of the wsg rep and scrubs like me wont queue please and thank you.

TLDR: PvP brings the worst quality of people to the surface.

Name your damn pet!

That’s a hell of a lot of words for someone who hasn’t named their pet, like a bot.

OP please use spacing because I’ll be honest, I’m not going to read that block of text.

I literally named my cat Notabot because of an interaction with another player claiming because i hadnt done so he was sure. Btw im under no obligation to do anything for anyone. If i want to name my pet fine, if not fine too. I shouldnt be harassed or reported because i am a legitimate hunter who does things my own, because botters act a certain way and ruin others fun. THATS NOT ME! I’m absolutely fed up with it.

Just think to yourself what in heck would i even name a scorpid? i play on an rp server as my name is rp. I couldnt come up with a name I like for my cat so i just left it there. Hunter pet metas shift anyway and i may not have a cat anymore anyways. As i got rid of my scorpid because i dont like them post nerf

I’ve got no argument against this!

:woman_shrugging:

Notabot doesnt sound like a RP name though…

How about Stingsting?

it isnt. I did because some random dude whispered me while i was doing some quests and asked if i was human. This guy turned out wasnt mean or nasty but the fact of no other info except the fact im a hunter means I get weird interactions like this. I get people like playing police officer but its getting weird and im getting annoyed. I put a lot of effort gearing my character and playing well, but some rando takes a sideways look at you and says oh wow hes a hunter, those damn bots, report him. Hell i’ll take dead last dps in every kind of conyent, nerf hunters into the ground!. Buff every other class and make them god mode so the bots will play their class

I think you should really stop caring so much.
If you’re not a bot, then you dont have anything to worry about. Blizzard can tell if you’re cheating or not.
If someone is harassing you, report them and dont reply.
Blocking is also a good thing to do too.

You’re right, but it’s the principle of the matter. Whether its me minding my own business and questing and killing mobs in open world or absolutely sucking at pvp (which i admit wholely im not good at) theres just no reason to haul off and say yeah i reported you because we’re gonna lose wsg and its your fault or bots are crashing the ah prices so people are reporting hunters because the damn bots are hunters and if you report all of them you’re bound to get at least a few that actually are bots.

I think PVP is awesome, but you’re right about how it’s full of spergs. Just ignore anybody who gives you a hard time. I literally have a macro that turns off my chat box so I don’t have to look at the vomit. It’s usually just 40-year-old alcoholics venting on others. Pay them no mind.

Outside of people like that, BGs are my favorite aspect of the game.

Awesome. That’s what it has become. Awesome.

If you were to report me because we were losing WSG, then Blizzard would
A. Ignore the Report.
B. Give you the warning if false reporting was a common thing you did.

So again, I would just stop caring. If people are making false reports on every hunter they see, the reporter will eventually get in trouble from Blizzard and the people who arent botters/hacking/cheating will not see anything come of the false reports against them.
If people want to waste their time/risk getting in trouble for false reports then its no skin off your nose.

I got no beef with pvpers. I usually dont cross into their camp all that much, but being that the level cap is 25 and theres not a lot of other classes im itching to play my hunter is my main. I looked up the pre bis list of items on wowhead and a lot of gear like sentinels medallion/ rune of duty/ sentinels blade/outrunners bow are great items that come from pvp.

If they had like text similar to the headpiece that only works inside of wsg (the dmg reduction and chance to be critted headpiece) then the gear would be useless in pve, or could be rendered useless so.

What a weird thing to get on here and brag about.
These bots are getting so advanced.
They almost seem human.

yeah all fine and dandy, and cooled off now. But i might just reroll now being the level cap is low and avoid all together

Do what ever makes you happy, but the one thing you should try to remember to do no matter what you decide… is to stop caring.
It’ll save you a lot of headache.

Often in pvp people will use the term afk as a catchall for out of position.

It seems like you were trying to kill the EFC though, which i commend

Each team had a flag which means the one needs to die in order to cap and get a point to my knowledge. rather than fighting against a well grouped horde hivemind who were wasting us, I set out ofter the flag carrier who i saw running along the wall from the distance. they usually wait in the keep with little defesnse or they fan out. I got into their keep through a different side and shadowmelded my self out of sight so when they ran in i could summon my pet and jump them. Well the shaman had a teammate of mine in tow trying to get him so as soon as they both entered though one side i broke meld sent pet and tried to slow them down and get sting up. The flag carrier realized they were now outnumbered and peeled out the other side dropping totems and such with my teammate neck and neck with them. Being a hunter i placed myself to have room to shoot but meant i was out of los when they went out the other side and had to follow. I killed the totems so i wouldnt get slowed and tried to rejoin my terammate but they died and the horde had gained one and i managed to kill him because my teammate had mostly killed him already but i had lost sight of the flag carrier and then got mobbed by the resty of the horde who came back to defend asgainst alliance in their keep.

I’m not even close to being good at pvp. I’m a casual. I just didnt like the fact he said i was afk when i clearly wasn’t and responded to his baseless accusation in chat telling him what i was trying to do, then he says enjoy the ban reported lol.
