Hpellipsis…thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me. Yeh, I wasn’t 100% sure on this. Though the precursor to Pathfinder was MOP flight restrictions, I just thought Ion was instrumental in the implantation to this or Pathfinder. Who ever it was that made the decision on Pathfinder , I really wish they would have made it optional instead of required. Due to all things Pathfinder, MOP was the last new expansion I purchased and eventually I stopped playing them when they became free. Spend my time now farming but now, with the nerf system on some items ( no drops of any kind after a very short time) even farming has become less satisfying for folks that do enjoy it.
/Things to self wiping tears from eyes : “ Geezzz, Blizzard has become the next new WOW killer”
I guess I thought that PVP in this game would be like PVP and every other game I’ve ever tried.
Yeah that was a horrible terrible decision lol
Back then it was 110 or 120 levels so it we didn’t level up quick like we did now and I was not going to level up a bunch of characters on another realm just to move to PVE so I paid something like 25 bucks each for probably a dozen characters to move them to PvE
And then not too long after that they brought in war mode and so I did it all for nothing lol
They have to make rare and elites mobs scale because more often than not you are by yourself. That other player blasting away had no idea you where there until you phased in. This is almost a solo adventure game.
Given the roads and supply chains often falter, working at the Waffle House might actually be a survival choice. Unbroken eggs will keep for up to 2 weeks even if not refrigerated. As long as you’re smart enough to fill the sinks and every available bucket with fresh water before contamination risks over ride the local water municipality pumping stations - your powdered pancake mix will stretch miles. Plus the 1 gallon canned fruit toppings, ketchup, various sauces, possibly cans of condensed milk or veg.
It’s a whole lot more shelf stable food than most families could hope to have in an emergency. Plus, everyone else fighting at stores for the last loaves of bread & milk. No one’s initially thinking about raiding the local Waffle House for supplies first.
I mean. Right. Everyone go home. Please pay no attention to the druid heaving cases of eggs & other foods into her vehicle.
I blame Ion for taking the job of Ghostcrawler because the game has gone down hill since, and all I need to point out is subs. We are no where near the #1 mmo anymore, and havent been for a long time.
We could be, but accountants and certain decision makers want it this way; which I guess is good for the company because it divides us fighting one another instead of complaining at the company
ikr? I got the impression that he worked in his field for less than 2yrs. Can you just imagine “the Talk” when he informed his family that he would be taking a position with a gaming company.
Wouldn’t have wanted to be him in that moment. /lol/ Thank the gods that it paid off. Can you imagine the discussions if it hadn’t?
Just sounds like normal WoW player behavior since day one. People will go out of their way to stop my Hunter from taming a rare. Even if the rare drops nothing. Just the way things are.
I think it was actually 4 years. And he’s been with Blizzard since 2008. I don’t think he’s even had his practicing license renewed at any point.
Not all lawyers make a ton of money in their first few years, depending on what they’re doing. Working your way up can be tough, specially when you’re socially awkward— which Ion seems to be. The stress, the type of law, all of it can end up meaning a rather depressing lifestyle at times.
His family may have encouraged him to follow what makes him happy.
One can only hope! If not, they should be well pleased now.
4 years is quite the bit. But I look at it from the status point of view. My Tom worked for Disney in animation, and would often say: “I could be a janitor - it’s just that I work for The Mouse”. Law and Medicine is a lot like that. Or at least it used to be.
