My luck has been just awful with them. I have gotten 3 total since launch, with leigtimate effort of farming.
This week I’m working from home so I’ve basically been standing in a spot in EPL that allows you to see 4 spawns, and I hop down and get them etc. In any case; I’m approaching probably 100~ Vein’s without a single crystal, and only one huge emerald.
Curious what everyone else has had? Because most people in my guild or friends say something to the effect of “Yeah we do 5 jump runs and usually get 1 or 2!”
I don’t mine. But on my 2 AHs they go for 30g-55g. The price changes.
I’m not asking about the price, lol.
Have you tried hitting the node harder?
I find I smack a crystal out of a node for every 100 taps on average. But some days I get nothing. Other days I can get 5 in 2 hours. It is really RNG dicey.

I find these to be extremely inconsistent and streaky. I don’t do a ton of jump runs, but I do mine whilst traveling about the world, and it’s been over a month since my last crystal. And yet I’ve acquired several in a week before playing quite casually.
Man that…sucks.
I’ve been going for only several weeks and while I didn’t get one at all my entire first week I’ve definitely gotten more then 3.
I actually have decided to hoard everything I get to see what my weekly yield looks like and I’ve only been saving since Tuesday, have done less farming then I usually do, and already have 3 in the bank.
If your farm time consists of just sitting in the spot, might I suggest doing circuits?
I also farm in EPL and I haven’t actually recorded my time, but I’m positive I’m hitting 1-3 RTVs every 5 to 10 minutes.
Herbalists in silithus, EPL, Winterspring, and Searing Gorge collective laugh at the arcane crystal ‘grind’ farm.

I tried mining for a month while I was grinding out Lionheart mats. I got one, count it, arcane crystal in a month of farming, mostly WPL, EPL and Winterspring. I close my eyes when I tap RTVs. I hate looking at the big empty hole shaped like sadness where the arcane crystal should be.
Ended up buying arcanite bars from the gold I made selling thorium bars and solid stone. Go figure. xD

Farmed around 300 ore in Silithus over the past 3 days and got 7 arcane crystals. Also got like 10 other gems. I got lucky though. Earlier today I got 2 arcane crystals out of 1 2-tick node
Ive been a miner since launch and have never seen 1
I’m gonna say my average is 1 out of every 7 Rich Thorium Vein nodes. I might just be a bit lucky.
