What happens to unused conquest at the end of the season?

I have conquest i cant use anymore since everything unrated costs honor only, there isnt a conquest → honor converter, so im wondering what happens to the conquest i have once the new season in catac is here?

either it gets converted into honor with excess getting turned into some gold (like 11s per 1 honor) or it gets turned straight into gold

Last season it converted 1:1 into honor and ignored the 4k honor cap.

You end up having to pay for it on your tax returns

This seems to be the most logical outcome.

I hope they convert all the old badges again it’s pretty stupid I can earn them still.
