What happens to the Forsaken?

Sure the horde has decided on new non-leadership. Got that.

What happens to the forsaken, our inability to procreate, and our free will from the lich king? Wasn’t sylvanas playing some kind of safeguard / beacon roll keeping us all free and preventing us from being more of the mindless undead? Or was that just during our rebirth or whatever.

Who’s in line for forsaken leadership? Is it a Deathstalker?

the next Forsaken leader will be Dumass or Darnell
calling it now

Which would you pick?

I’m torn between the Master Apothecary, and Calia freaking Menethil. Hell yes.

Also where can I get her clothes???

Lilian Voss is holding down the fort right now. But it seems obvious that Calia’s being built up to take over later on down the line.

The forsaken were free willed on their own when the Lich King lost control of them, Sylvanas wasn’t maintaining that. Those later raised by her val’kyr were also free willed. But she took all the val’kyr with her so the forsaken are now in limited supply unless something happens in Shadowlands.

I’ve never heard of that before. I think once an Undead is free, that’s it. The Lich King can’t gain control again unless they die or choose to rejoin the Scourge.

Blizzard also had one quest in Tirisfal Glades which suggested that Forsaken all became mindless eventually, but I think that’s the only time it’s brought up.

Yeah I think I was mixing up what that meant due to not having made new characeters in a while.

One of our first quests is killing those who rejected freedom. Because they became mindless undead.

I can’t remember what this quest was like before the cataclysm remake, although I could hop on classic i guess and find out.

If I can’t side with the Scarlet Crusade to rid the world of this lightforged undead abomination I’m gonna be real upset

My vote is for:

He will make the next batch of Forsaken beautiful angels.

His theme is simple as the apothecary would be represented in the horde by constructing poisons and blights.

Her theme is simple as the forsaken would represent a kingdom-- obeying her as a queen.

Both of which I wouldn’t know how the writing team will develop the characters.

I’m always a little worried with how shady Magic the Gathering has been would affect Voss because of Liliana Vess.

Sign me up. He’s my favourite undead in the entire game.

But i don’t think he has a shot against royalty.

She doesn’t call herself royalty anymore.

No, Sylvanas had nothing to do with the Forsaken getting their freewill back, if you want to thank someone for that, thank Illidan.

What about the new forsaken? Something about shambling mindless undead.

He’s right about Illidan but Sylvanas was responsible for giving them a purpose.

Well, without Sylvanas the Forsaken(who rose up in Cata-Legion) would probably all be in the Shadowlands right now as oppose to ending up aas mindless undead. Remember, we had killed Arthas at that point and generally, aside from some Scourge loyalist, any undead that was rising up was because of Sylvanas’ meddling.

Yeah as soon as he said it i realized what he meant and how he was right about it.

I’m just really confused I think. But It’s true we lack leadership and a future at the moment so I’m still curious about that.

I don’t think thats quite what happened. When the Lich King initially lost a chunk of power thanks to Illidan’s attack, only the strongest willed Undead were able to break free from his control due to his weakness. But I imagine it was a constant struggle to maintain their free will.

Right. But there’s still a lich king. Or was until SL? Which is kind of in part why i’m asking. Is bolvar dead now? Or did he just lose his lich king powers?

I would like to think the older or “first generation” Forsaken has stronger minds now and don’t need a guide… so to speak. When Sylvanas united them together, their minds were in a dark place. Tormented by their past. They should be passed all that and capable of electing a leader that’s not tainted by the Light.
