I only have legion, but currently no subscription. I want to play shadowlands but don’t really want to spend $40 now and then $50 or whatever more in another month. Should I wait then, or is blizz going to keep both expacs separately priced for several months?
The heroic complete collection includes BFA, Shadowlands, a 110 boost, and a 120 boost, and you can use the boosts now. Scroll down in link. If you do not buy before the prepatch, you will not get the the BFA 110 boost.
BFA will almost for sure become free (part of base game) at pre patch, but there has been no announcement. There will soon not be separate purchases for BFA and Shadowlands.
Thank you, I went ahead and did that! Question… I don’t want to use my 110 or 120 boost yet. I’d like to wait until I play Shadowlands on my old main and decide on a character to boost for each boost… will my 110 or 120 boost go away if I wait too long? Silly question but I want to not mess up and waste it, just looked and see it’s $60!!
I still have my 110 boost from pre launch BFA they never expire. After the prepatch, your 110 boost will convert to 45-46, and the 120 boost will be 50, which will be the max level for BFA.
Since you own BFA now, you can make as many 110 trial characters as you like before boosting. There is short tutorial, dummy, and optional 15 min battle scenario. Test with the Icy Veins class guides for rotations and talents.
The 110 boost will become a 48 boost when the prepatch hits (which is the equivlelent to 116-117 now).

I read a post awhile back that said levels would be converted on a percent basis so I assumed it also applied to boosts. That’s a nice 2 level bonus then. 110/120 = 92%, 50 X 92% = 46.
The level conversion isn’t linear (as you can see in the chart in the same post.) 60-80 gets squished the most with 4 levels squishing to 1 in that range, while 80+ has the least squishing with 2 levels squishing to 1.
