I still see some CC being used. Such as the trash pack before the first boss in Spires (even more so if it is a fort week) in a +10 or higher mythic + key. You CC the mender and kill everything else. Then you kill the mender alongside the prideful add.
They just want something to blame that can fit their false narrative. So mythic + is the perfect scapegoat.
BRD was only really non-linear for the sections that didn’t require the key (and even then, it did become linear after a certain point). The sections that did require the key (west Garrison onwards) is 100% linear.
