What happened to WSG!

What happened to WSG, there used to be 8 to 10 wsg at any time. And now during the weekend peek hour there is none what happened less player because the phase 1 is taking to long, people are tired of premade, class got nerfed or something i dont know what is the issue here but i would like to find out.

sounds like the casual solo pugs got tired of getting graveyard camped by the sweaty premades and stopped queing. Knowing that premades refuse to face other premades under threat of unsubbing, the WSG matchmaker now has premades stuck, waiting to match them against solo pugs who are just not queing anymore.

I see 60 games of WSG up right now. What are you talking about?

Oh well. Wsg has always been the least interesting battleground in my opinion

Bad troll attempt

People stopped queueing because it’s not fun.

Shocker.

Blizzard design at it’s finest.

i’m not sure where you getting your numbers from but they are incorrect. for both the high water mark and current battles.

The warsong queue npc lists 60 battles to queue for, but maybe they’re not all active.

/who warsong returns 50 players in warsong gulch so that’s at least 5 active warsongs but 50 is the max that /who can return lets try breaking it up by class:

/who warlock warsong returns 8 players
/who paladin warsong returns 20 players
/who druid warsong returns another 20
/who hunter warsong returns 19
/who priest warsong returns 20
/who rogue warsong returns 13
/who mage warsong returns 10
/who warrior warsong returns 27

That’s 137 players in warsong from the alliance side of living flame alone so there must be at least 14 warsongs running. When you add in the other servers it seems likely that the 60 battles the queueing NPC offers might be pretty close to the real number

except they havent

Yup, they haven’t. It’s just people wishing it would die but it isn’t. Lol

They’ll wish AB would die next phase

sorry, i guess i should ve been more presice i meant in the level 19 bracket

Only trash PVPers play WSG so they can PUB stomp.

Real PVPers PVP in the open world.

Noobs need a full premade to win and survive.

@lazarak thinking of you mate.

I was a VERY big player of the BG’s.

But about 3 expansion ago I got sick and tired of being GY camped by premades everytime I logged in.

So I quit pvping 3 expansions ago and SOD hasnt addressed this issue and in fact is apparently supported by Blizz so there is ZERO reason for me to PVP anymore. I got better things to do than constant rez at a GY every 30 seconds

Probably true, but AB at level 40 will be a little more bearable than WSG at 25:

  1. Once bases are captured you’re counting down to the end of the game. There is no scenario where you can be 40 minutes into a 0-0 game in AB and wonder ifyou have another 40 or more 'til it’s over.
  2. When the teams are wildly mismatched a 5 cap AB ends much sooner than a character can run 3 flags across WSG
  3. We’ll all have mounts making it much faster to traverse the battleground.
  4. AB is 15 players instead of 10 so when you do get the pug v pug bgs your less likely to see a huge power imbalance due to group composition.

of course that is all my opinion though, and i guess it doesn’t really matter for this thread.

i guess you are right we will have to wait for phase 2 to see some changes

That’s not really accurate…GY camping in WSG at level 25 isn’t like what you used to see in classic.

In classic premades would stop pressing objectives to camp the graveyard because honor was the goal in particular for those sweaty buzzards pushing for rank 14.

You don’t see that in this phase of SOD because with very little effort you can jump from rank 0 to rank 3. The goal in WSG at this point in the game is reputation which is maximized by quick wins.

Will you still get GY camped? Yes, but only so far as it expedites the camping team winning.

Ab should have less premades, and av the problem basically goes away
