So i bought the pre expansion set.
Took few months off, just got back to wow. I have been playing WOW since panda days. But this launch does not make sense.
They took like over 20 hours to just launch the prepatch, i cant even imagine how crappy the day of expansion launch will be.
In game, there were so many issues. I reckon it has to do with warband update but how did this pass through without testing. Luckily, i only spent like 2 hours today download the game from 7 pm to 9pm, but I cant imagine how frustrated some of the players would have been if they are waiting the whole day.
The quality has gone down really really low.

Ive been playing since BC, its the same quality its always been. Today is completely normal for a major patch. Alot of things will get hotfixed tomorrow and things will smooth out before the weekend.
I love WoW, but…methinks this is why the game hemorrhaged so many players that they stopped releasing subscriber counts.
The only worst expierence I could remember was WOD when it launched but that was full on ddos attack. But today going from 3 to 7 to 9. And then you can’t even trade items or join games.
Not sure how the expansion launch will be. Other than a full day of ddos attack.
It was tested. Extensively. Doesn’t make the logistics of implementing it any less staggering. Testing isn’t real life. There will almost always be unforeseeable bugs.
I was expecting a riding or flying mount . I was so disappointed
