I remember clearly I had Void Crash which was a cooler version of Shadow Crash and it’s gone. Did I missed something?
It shouldn’t be gone. Its on the choice node of do you want to have the ground target (shadow crash) or have it fire at your current target. (Void crash)
They reverted it to a different version of Shadow Crash and removed the new particles.
My theory is 100% unhinged and unsupported, but I think they decided to finally work on priest the same way they worked on shaman around the same time in alpha, realized that “fixing” priest is a far more monumental task than fixing shaman, accidentally deployed stuff they weren’t ready to show yet, and clawed it back while they keep working on priest quietly behind the scenes.
There’s no other explanation for priest getting functionally zero changes all the development cycle and since, with voidweaver and archon being essentially their alpha iterations with no changes, and oracle being the only part of priest that got any attention at all, which it only got because of how intense the negative response to oracle was (and, amusingly, they still failed spectacularly to make oracle appealing or effective).
They spent a decade very publicly failing to fix priest’s problems by doing small, ill-conceived, and untested high impact changes at the last possible minute before an expansion ships and they have to be aware of how terrible that makes them look so this time around they didn’t say anything, let priests be angry, and are going to show off what they’ve been working on in 11.1.
The only other possible explanation for the silence is malicious negligence.
it’s like they have an obession with ruining cool stuff for shadow priest
