What happened to timewalking?

LoL…

Used to be kind of challenging, to the point people would make gear sets and stuff…

Just blew through 5 Draenor dungeons…including Grimrail, which I always thought was “hard” without a sweat….

SMBG…last boss…never even saw a wall…

This is stupid nerfed…

I decided to tank because I thought healing might be stressful…I don’t think anyone dipped lower than 80% in all five runs. And I started doing crazy pulls because…why not?

Final joke… got some crazy high Ilvl ring…as a tank, for increased damage if I do fire damage?!? What tank does fire damage? Mage ring? What a waste of time…

anyways…don’t even feel a tank was needed on any of those runs. Just assuming they nerfed WoD dungeons to the ground.

They nerfed it a great deal. Tuning issues.

I have no idea about any other TW weeks, but this week had a hotfix go out.

At the beginning of the week they were overtuned and actually difficult. Then Blizzard tried to fix it but badly missed going overboard and nerfing it to the point where it’s basically like going back to solo WOD dungeons

I’m betting they’ll figure it out a bit better by next timewalking rotation, this time was just a complete whiff

The loot drops are horrible that is what happened. If they left it difficult queues would be 4 hours long.

If you have currently one of the best damage dealing trinkets Manic Grieftorch you can proc it. If you have the decoration of the flame trinket you can also proc it. Otherwise you just made some poor soul cry that a rare ring got sniped by someone who can’t use the proc. DH’s can use it as well even if they are specced into AMN because chaos damage counts as fire.

we are putting the walking in timewalking :joy_cat:

quest description literally says: “you know what’s hard? time travelling. you know what’s harder? fighting monsters while doing it”.

seems by ‘hard’ they meant ‘not hard’. they must work for HR. Only they can say “we’ll call you back” and mean “we won’t call you back”. or “we’ll be in touch” and mean “we won’t”.

First off that ring will be your best in slot raid option no matter what spec you are, just because it’s “rare” and gets an ilvl boost so more stats. Second, depending on your spec there might be more ways than you realize to proc it - manic grieftorch, unstable frostfire belt, radiant damage, chaos damage, etc

that’s not to say it will actually make much of a difference. it’s a proc so usually it’s only like a .5% increase in dps unless you have consistent fire damage/chaos/radiant but hey an upgrade is an upgrade I suppose

World quest hero’s have been screaming for them to nerf timewalking dungeons into the ground so they could afk run it and get rewarded with free purple gear drops.

There’s actually a one shot mechanic in Grimrail, it seemed like the only one that put up any fight

Fine by me, easy TW is a great time to level alts.

Time walking has literally never been challenging.

No idea why people think this

By the time we get back around to cata week, you’ll be killing your tank by not doing beams again. This week’s weird too hard then too soft scaling is some kinda half done tinkering still in progress.

I like it as it is. Easy experience fast weekly

Lol beginning of the week everything in all the dungeons slapped like mythic bosses now I think I could solo them in a clothie.

I’m here for it I’ve got alts to gear up!

Idk, but even after the hotfix still been in groups that wipe in grimrail depot. Was in a skyreach last night, and grouped wiped on the boss that spams quills  Maybe you should stick to mythic+ to get that challenge fix?

They now have a minimum level 60 and ilvl 174 to keep out those people you think don’t deserve content. Is it any wonder hardly anybody’s doing them now that people can no longer level in them?

That’s what happens when they don’t pretest before going live with content.

One shotting the tank shouldn’t be counted as “difficulty”.

It wasn’t like that on Tuesday; Blizzard really screwed up the scaling and then went 180 degrees the opposite way.

You got a source on that? Because as a “world quest hero,” I never once asked for this nor saw anyone I know across three servers ask for this. Haven’t seen it on the forums, either, but I don’t read troll threads.

Timewalking was supposed to be reliving the old Heroics as they were. That’s what people asked for: to have that same experience. That was the entire point.
