I don’t even know what to say to this. This is just borderline conspiratorial nonsense you’ve drudged up because you seem incapable of saying “You’re right. I should have clarified my points more.” Like, deflection to the nth degree.
It’s also just disingenuous because - even IF we were to assume that to be true - nobody is accusing you of racism. It’s a video game. None of us actually care that much about whether or not you like the goblin theme. This seems like straight self-victimization.
But secondly - are we wrong? You’re complaining about the game being too silly, but goblins are silly. You may not have an issue with goblins in and of themselves, but they are the driving force for the patch’s new tone.
You say it’s too silly and don’t explain why. You’re just “it is.”
Which is fine, but I’m not sure why you’re surprised when people take your problems to be something else.
Then you should state your opinion better. If it’s a trend that people are misinterpreting you, then you clearly haven’t done a good job explaining your problems with the patch well enough.

Modern Audience is the buzz word that suits use to market to the vocal twitter/reddit crowd that dont really make up the population of the game that actually buys/plays it, but is just the crowd that talks about playing it the most.
Some times it hits, but a lot of the time it misses.
Its not related to the idea of ‘woke’ its more like that picture of steve buchemi “How do you do, fellow kids” its basically the audience that modern companies market to that does not really exist.

No, it isn’t. You and everyone can have their own opinions. The problem here is that people are trying to tell me what my own opinions are. Even after I explained it to them they are telling me it’s about something that it isn’t.
Maybe don’t make assumptions and ask if you are not sure? The entire problem is people making assumptions and trying to tell me what my own opinions are.

I mean… that zone was it self was best and crazy thing ever I mean… I get it with ethreals but I wish we can drive it futher with how bone whacky it get.
The patch itself is good, that said i agree the tone of Warcraft has shifted to a more jovial tone that personally im not the biggest fan of, a large part of that has to do with the art style.
WoW artstyle went with a…i almost wanna say pixar? style but it definitely follows a more cartoony style and unfortunately over the years that translated incorrectly into jovial and whimsical when in actuality the undertones of wow and its story are pretty friggin dark when you start looking into it.
RIP the Amazonian Nelfs that used to have fangs, communicate telepathically with druids, and used to drink blood.

this started in Dragonflight, and is a direct response to the mass rejection of Shadowlands and its darker more serious, “attempting to be complex” tone.
imo.
People didn’t have a mass rejection of the storytelling and tone of Shadowlands. They had a problem with the oppressive gameplay and being forced into torghast and the maw with no mount.

That is more of the fault of faction based system. They changed the night elves from the RTS to wow because they couldn’t allow their more savage nature being played out for the alliance.
But art style, I mean, it was always cartoonish in my eyes, hence why it ran so well on potatoes back in 2004. Huge shoulders, cartoony looking humans, the silly nature of the skeletons and gore which was gibblets. It was all cute.
Tone did go from “my scars” after shadowlands though, they went way too deep into “crawling in my skin” and need to lighten it up a bit.
