I thought it was alright up until the Xal’atath appearance. I dunno what her involvement with Gallywix is supposed to be, but also – I just don’t think Goblins are very interesting to most players and…don’t have much ‘cool’ factor.
Okay. But your original is just “the tone is gone” with some cinematics linked with zero explanation as to why you think that is the case, so what else was one supposed to draw from that?
I guess I’ll have to comb through the whole thread to get some explanation as to what you dislike in particular.
LMAOOOOOOO
You love to see it.
You will see by playing.
Also, each their own. Goblins to me are the coolest cats on the streets.
I will fear a mafia lil guy with a laser gun anyday more than a spitting angy Orc.
I don’t have much to comment because I don’t care for the main storyline of this xpac. I have enjoyed the side questlines and the world building but the foot elf vs dramatic eye makeup elf story is not for me. I know it because I like lore but I focus more on the little parts. I hate the Arthurian legend with a passion but I loved seeing those little kobolds doing it.
I also don’t mind being reminded of other IPs. Taking from other IPs has always been part of Blizzard’s thing. If it is done well then I have no problems.
Not go straight to race? Hard concept, I know.
You make it sound like I’m doing some IRL twitter race-baiting. ![]()
Edit: Seriously though, what’s your angle? You’re just like “New thing bad. Old thing good”.
It just highlights people’s subconscious bias.
Dragonflight was a narrative reset in terms of tone and content. It went out of its way to distance itself from the “dark and serious” tone of BFA and Shadowlands, and it did this on purpose.
This is what WoW is now, for better or worse.
This mythical “dark and gritty” WoW storytelling that everyone wants to put on a pedestal doesn’t exist anymore. it’s dead, and it is not coming back. Players made sure of this when they mass-quit during Shadowlands and turned its “dark and gritty” story into memes.
If you didn’t like Dragonflight, you won’t like TWW. If you don’t like TWW, you won’t like Undermined. If you don’t like Undermined, you wont like Midnight, and you wont like The Last Titan. There is no hope for you. There is no amount of complaining on the forums that will change this. Your only option to actually make any meaningful attempt to convince Blizzard to go back to the “dark and gritty” storytelling of WoD/BFA/Shadowlands, is to cancel your subs, stop playing, stop paying money and attention to WoW entirely (including not posting about it)in such numbers that it causes another Shadowlands-level mass exodus of players.
that is the only language Blizzard will understand.
Silly race has silly patch?
Color me shocked.
Seem like with the Crybabys on forum of late
“We hate change” Well there Classic sever hate how thing are… classic just right there.
It crazy whe still going.
You said the forbidden word!
Yeah her involvement thus far just seems silly and random, as if she was placed there because undermine was the patch and they needed to includer her and yes I know there some folks who really like goblins, that why I said for most players they’re not very interesting.
The only thing I can come up with is the black blood being used as a rocket to fire out of that cannon in Bilgewater capital I forget the name of that they said would be fired in BfA.
Who said anything about meaningful change? Is it a crime to just make a simple opinionated complaint on a public forum? You’re all hilarious with these presumptions.
Lol that cannon of ours will turn to dust before it is ever fired.
Also it seemed random but many side quests in TWW was alluding to this before the undermine patch.
I think this is what happens when they take out a lot of quests in the main quest and make them side quests. A lot of the story telling is in those side quests.
you have psychosis!
take you meds, take your meds, take your meds!!!
If a lot of people are making the same presumptions, then perhaps it’s not them that’s the problem here.
Or it’s because race issues have been forced on everyone for the past 8+ years by the media and now everyone’s first instinct is that everything is a race issue.
Nothing in the OP mentioned race. If people are coming to that conclusion then it says more about that person.
This here!
I could not have said better.
