What happened to the in-game GMs

Unfortunately, I will have to continue to go with personal experience in this. I opened a ticket, in 5 hours got an automated response that was also admitted to by the GM (happy?), and then waited an additional 24 hours before an actual message. Total time from creation to actual message over 2 days less than 3 days. This is facts

You received a template response. And your first ticket was answered in 5 hours. Which is within the timeframe I gave earlier. So thanks for clearing that up.

So still within the timeframe I gave you.

Everyone else seems to know what you meant, OP. No need to keep engaging in banter with someone who wants to point out the small mislabeling mistake. Lmfao.
If you want, you can edit the OP to be like “EDIT: I’m referring to GMs for those who are confused.”
But otherwise I would just be like “ok” and not engage too much further.

Ticket responses are very different now than what they used to be. I had many wonderful GMs respond to my tickets back in vanilla. The Automated replies are often not even related at all to what the ticket is about because no one takes the time to actually read the ticket. Eventually, you MIGHT get a real person, but that takes a few tries. These are facts, despite what some people seem to think. Usually, the people who don’t seem to understand how different things are now havent actually been around for very long… But thats okay. If they dont know, they dont know. Just smile and nod and just stick with what you do know.

An automated response is not a response and marking the issue as resolved after an automated response also does not fix the issue. So no I will not count this as a response to my ticket therefor 29 hours for a GM response is very long.

They aren’t automated. They’re templates. They’re still sent by a person. But I’ve explained how the system works in detail further up.

Again… it’s a template, not automated. Resolving the ticket is done so that you can resubmit it if the templated response doesn’t solve your issue. I explained why this is done.

Then you are wrong. Each ticket was within the timeframe I gave you, whether you want to ignore that or not.

Depending on the issue, it really isn’t. Back in SL, they were up to weeks of wait time.

I came here to give the facts of how the system works and people refuse to believe it. Not surprising, this is how bad our society is now. Factual information is dismissed, because people don’t like it or it doesn’t fit their narrative and they just want to spout bad hyperbole that creates misinformation.

The information that was given is the same information you’d get from CS. But since you don’t want to listen, then so be it.

Okay

Due to technical limitations they used to have to log into the game and that’s no longer the case.

My issue is so silly and i can’t believe I did it. This post though was mostly complaining about the experiences of going through the process

You mean GMs that would talk to you in game ? Yea they stopped doing that, last time i remember talking to a GM was in WoD

so… what is it?

don’t get shy now.

if it’s something which can be resolved via self-help options, i’m gonna bunny kick you for adding the queue time, and complaining about queue times.

I remember having some cool interactions with GMs long ago. I loved the flavor text they used when introducing themselves, although I can’t remember it very well now. I remember my account password was stolen back in Wrath and a GM helped me through it. I do miss them, although I haven’t opened a ticket in a long time.

I did a bad thing during BC in an instance and got reported. When we killed the final boss, a GM showed up in game, spanked me and the others in the group, then logged me out for a short vacation. That’s the only time I ever saw one in person.

we wanted them to make a living wage so they were let go for being too expensive.

if it took 27 days, then it wasn’t “simple”.
ticket times simply aren’t that long.

it sounds like it needed to be escalated, and have a development solution created.

they wanted money.
and that was a mistake.

And how long ago was this? And did it need escalated? Because it hasn’t been that way for months for usual ticket times.

Well now I know you’re lying, because GMS do not help with quests. Those are considered game hints and they’ll point you to Wowhead. So good job outing yourself as completely disingenuous just to attack me.

Please go to the CS forums and ask them how long ticket times are.

Your attitude is toxic for no reason and your jabs nonsensical at best. Facts aren’t “simping” for anyone. Get a grip.
