No downside? Bro why do you think they changed how mob tagging works? Because it was causinf problems…
You dont see a problem in every world boss and elite spawn being a glorified feeding frenzy where everybody just runs up and hits it once to get credit?
You think its no problem when a new player enters an area to do a quest and see somebody else already killed half the area?
Bro this stuff sucks…its always sucked.
All of that is better than adding additional phasing.
You have such brainrot.
Phasing is good for the game…it does have downsides and exploits. But actually being able to play the game without having it crash is a good thing…
You are proof of my statement that people hate progress. They want the same old crap.
Arent you MR “Vanilla was the best WoW and WoW needs to go back to Vanilla’s gamestyle”?
It’s wild to watch the opinions jump between “It’s not a real MMO because it doesn’t have 40 player raids” and “We need our MMO to not have other players in the world”.

I mean vanilla WoW is an objectively way better game than retail.
But I would actually want retail WoW to copy Elden Ring more than anything else.
Obviously I dont want a dodge roll mechanic. But the game does so much right it would be dumb not to copy it.

This thread is fascinating isnt it?
Copying something is not progress.
We get it.
You dont like MMOs.
Please stop trying to ruin WoW.
Yes.
Both can be true at the same time.
Modern WoW does not resemble an MMO anymore.
And also the MMO genre has a lot of baggage that actually just makes games DOA. Its a bad genre thats only ever produced 1 hit game.

Yes it does.
But if it doesnt, it should excite you. Because you do not like MMOs.
WoW meets the definition of an MMO. Stop having “brain rot”.
A MMO without other players in the game world is not a MMO as far as I’m concerned.
That’s more a core feature of MMOs than 40 player raids are.

Or we end up with a Lilith situation and we pound Xal to the ground. The idea that female villains=she trying to overthrow the patriachy/will get a redemption arch is laughable.
Vanilla WoW borrowed a lot of jdeas from Everquest.
Retail WoW stole its flying system.
You couldnt be more wrong. Copying succesful games is what every single great game in history has done.
Pokemon? Dragon Quest rip off.
Fortnite? Pubg rip off which was a rip off a Dayz mode.
Sounds like what someone with “brain rot” who wants the “same old” and is against “progress” would say.
The other players are still in the world… you can literally still see them and interact with them.
Can you guys make one remotely coherent argument against my idea?
Its a bad idea because it limits interactions.
Just because you are stuck with elden ring brain rot and are against progress, dont ruin WoW.
Ah yes. The classic comeback of a 12 year old.
“But it cant have that amazing system that would fix everything…because its different!!!”
It wouldnt fix everything.
It would create more problems.
With the way you described it, you can’t interact with them in any meaningful way unless you invite them first.
Make a coherent argument, then we’ll make a coherent point against it.
The only interaction being limited is that they cant kill the mobs in your world…(unless you invite them)
What else is being restricted?
