Apparently some of my colleagues felt us having smiles to be offensive and stereotypical so got a kibosh put on the earlier model tweaks and nixxed the smiles.
Um, the devs were less than totally honest when they said that even with new models, our characters would still look like themselves? Yeah. That’s it. That’s what happened to our smiles.
They’re Mecha-gone.

gnomes still keep the cheery voice. Hell the new gnome prince they chose one of the happier VA’s out there. Its robin from teen titans go FFS…or a voice actor going out their way to sound like him (haven’t tracked this down tbh).
Oh it is scott menville for sure he’s also the default male vulpera. He was hreat as Lloyd in Tales of Symphonia
Something was most certainly lost in the change over.
I like the current gnome models over the old version(s). Specially like the face gnomes (female at least) make while fishing.
