What happened to the earth proto-drake guy?

I just watched the cinematic for the new ED raid and he’s not there.

Iridikron decided he was needed elsewhere.

ROFL seriously? He just left? Guess I can’t blame him.

Going by your question, I take it you haven’t completed the Dawn of the Infinite dungeon?

I suggest you clear it and watch the cutscene at the end.

Iridikron decided to step into a portal and check out Eorzea from all the FF14 players who post about it on GD.

They should’ve at least made some sort of dungeon to let us know what happens.

Perhaps even a megadungeon.

I know what happened to him, but I think the real question is, what is going to happen with him? It’s not like he’s just going to disappear from WoW/story…is he going to be the first raid boss in the next expansion or something?

FF14 crossover.

He’s probably gonna be the Gul’dan of next expansion.

After a big buildup he will show up as a minor dungeon boss in 13.1 mega dungeon and it turns out he was being controlled by a void lord the entire time or something dumb like that.

He teleported away at the end of Dawn of the Infinite with Xal’atath. Did you not watch that cinematic?

Then the 10.1.7 cinematic had Vyranoth telling Fyrakk that Iridikron abandoned them, which means he’s probably not on Azeroth now.

And then the new cinematic released today revealed Fyrakk’s just gone insane from the Shadowflame and wants power.

Are we confident it is Xal and not Azshara? Xal does make a bit more sense given the silhouette didn’t have all the extra…accoutrements…that presumably Azshara would. Though we do see Naga inhabiting some areas of the Forsaken Reach.

Watch him be setup for the next expansion, like how WoD’s Gul’dan caused Legion to happen for us.

Legit, he may be behind any Void-themed expansion.

He could be compromised like Fyrakk with the Shadowflame, maybe already is. Only time will tell.

Seems to be a reoccurring thing with Earth Dragons.

These are rumors for the most part. We see a ‘shadowy figure’ on the other side of the void portal, and folks are going with Xal’atath, but who really knows.

It was a female blood/void elf, and the only one we know of is Xal’atath, it’s a safe bet. Lol.

Also my guess, since the Void is basically anti-Titan, and we all know the Primals want Titans gone. It wouldn’t be far fetched.

Something I’m also finding amusing though, is that the Titans are still around, just in prison after Legion.

What if we had the Titans come down and talk this stuff out? Surely, that’s an option? They aren’t ‘gone’ from the narrative any longer.

It’d be amusing to see.

I was expecting each patch be focused on each Incarnate as the main villain: 10.0 Raszageth, 10.1 Fyrakk, 10.2 Vyranoth and the final boss of the expansion Iridikron at 10.3.

They created a interesting new group of villains, but only used half. Vyranoth changed of side in a second and Iridikron took a vacation at the voidland. What a waste.

He’ll be the Void Earth Primalist, bringing the Harbinger of the Void to Azeroth so that the Void can have its own Titan.

TLDR:

He unleashed Fyrrak knowing that Fyrrak would consume shadowflame and go mad. He wants the world to burn and be in peril and disarray. He is seeking to call the titans to come and attempt to put Azeroth right again. To sow as much chaos and destruction so that there is no other choice except for the titans to return.

He is now more than likely attempting to gain the Void or an Old God as an ally, so that when the titans do return and are weak after fixing things, then he Iridikron can return with his new allies and wipe out the titans.

But when he returns and his allies first wipe out the titans, then start to wipe out everything else, he will see that his hate and need for revenge only leads to his destruction.

We know SOMETHING was whispering to Sarkareth in Aberrus.

The old gods are canonically dead, according to the writers.

The only thing left on Azeroth to whisper would be Xal’atath.

Iridikron was assaulting the timelines at the same time we were in Aberrus, lore wise. It’d make sense that Xal’atath was distracting us at Aberrus. It would also explain why iridikron told Fyrakk to bathe in shadowflame - something that should have killed him - Xal’atath made it possible for him to survive.
