My personal theory is that after Blizzard mistakenly approved a certain female worgen fan art piece that contained nudity they decided that the whole thing wasn’t worth it.
Media section seems to be completely gone from both the US and EU sites. Dunno when that happened, but I can’t find it at all. That’s a shame, there was a lot of great artwork in there.

Don’t even get me started about people who freak out at the sight of what God gave us. 
Especially if it’s a cartoon version.
I mean, I agree depicting certain acts shouldn’t be allowed on public forums, but showing skin (even furry skin) ought not to be reason to remove an entire feature from the site.

Sadly Blizzard got rid of the Blizzard Fan Art Section
I did like the Student Art Contest though but I really wish they add a dedicated art section in the community forums for people to post their Warcraft related art.

But it’s all too believable (based on my own experience with censorship and art).
My guess is they dropped it as a cost-cutting measure. No need to pay someone to review or maintain submissions anymore, or to host it on their site.
Granted, it probably didn’t cost much in the grand scheme of things, but when you’re squeezing blood from a stone, every drop counts.

I can beat some bloke to death in the game, chop them up and put their remains in a bag to turn in to some shady guy with a question mark over their head.
If at any point during that process, someone sees a nipple, then thats where I have gone too far.

They can’t maintain the routine supervision required to ensure nobody’s posting lewds or p0rn on this forum. Allowing image privileges can very quickly go south.
I see people posting links to their artwork on the World’s End Tavern section, however. As long as you keep it PG you should be fine if you want to post something there.
I am now very curious to know where this picture is for science.
Most of WoWs fanart tends to be pretty lewd. Especially Alliance fan art.
I don’t think I can show it to you without suffering swift retribution from the Forum Gods.
Try googling something like “WoW removed fan art worgen” or something.
Luckily there was an MMO outrage thread on the subject with the picture.
Honestly, wasn’t anything worse than Alextrazas model to be honest.
Don’t say that! They will censor Alextrasza too!

Found it. Looks more tame than anything ever drawn featuring Alexstrasza.
i really hope they don´t coverup alexstrasza like they did in hots, she looks even more similar than sylvanas and just looked cheap instead of original
I also liked the section for desktop backgrounds. Seems like Blizzard just walked away from all the individual gamer and sense of community stuff when they went all corporate.
