What happened to Snowsong?!

What happened to her? For those who don’t know who Snowsong is, she is/was Thrall’s hunting companion and mount. When Thrall lived with the Frostwolves, he bonded with a female Frostwolf who he named Snowsong.

Eventually, in War Crimes (WHICH WAS WRITTEN BY CHRISTIE GOLDEN) we found out that Snowsong was getting very old, and could no longer be used in battles and skirmishes. Later, she followed Thrall into alternate Draenor, and was also seen in the Shaman Class Order Hall during Legion.

Now? Aggra and Durak (Thrall’s son) are living in Outland, and when Thrall finally returns in 8.2, he is given a new model.

He’s obviously wearing a frost wolf pelt. And based off of what we know about Frostwolf clan’s traditions when it comes to the death of their companions… this may be Snowsong’s. Please don’t let it be Snowsong!

Snowsong is safe in the same black hole that the Pandaren and Alliance lore got put into it.

IE: Blizzard forgot she existed.

But… she was in Legion! And now, she might be on the back of Thrall in BFA! Also, you talk about Pandaren and Alliance lore, but you forget about the discontinued storylines of Zandalar!

And? Blizzard forgot they existed, too.

When are you going to realize that Blizzard doesn’t care about its own story? Holding out hope that they’ll put any effort into it is just going to lead to heartbreak.

I bet you the original plan was to have Snowsong killed by Sylvanas’ assassins in the Safe Haven cinematic, which would lead to Thrall becoming the orc version of John Wick.

Then they realized that they would never be able to contain that power, so they changed the cinematic.

She was hanging around the shaman class hall in legion. for all we know Thrall could have her stay with his son and Aggra during BFA stuff.

But it’s a little odd that she’s mentioned to be old, and then Thrall is seen with a wolf pelt on his back…

But Aggra and Durak were in Outland with Thrall.

Doubtful that they’d put that much thought into it.
We’d be lucky if they even remembered her. We saw how well they remembered 2 faction leaders (both pandas) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: So.

They were mention in the cinematic to be there but we never saw them. That doesn’t mean Snowfang isn’t there. You dont even know. It’s possible that she is there.

If his new cloak is her, then I fail to see the issue. He’s honoring her.

Though I’m still not sure Blizz thought of that detail.

What other frost wolf would he wear on his back other than the one closest to him?

Christie Golden wrote War Crimes and wrote in the fact that Snowsong was getting old. Now, she’s working with Blizzard even closer than she ever has before. She never skips on the details.

facepalm For all we know he could have had it made for him by someone or killed another wolf to make it. And if you had a shaman you’d know snowfang had a pup…Cause you can have the little one as a pet. So for all we know the fur could have come from the father of the pup. So my point stands.

Regardless, what’s the problem?

Better question is what happened to Snowfox. Once the forums changed, and his/her progress was deleted, he/she vanished!

I don’t think Thrall said that his wife and son were there at the farm. I think he said either safe or close or something. But nothing more specific than that.
