What happened to Sally Whitemane and Vanessa Vancleef in bfa? Any plans to intro them in SL?

No word about these two famous characters in wow. Sally Whitemane became a death Knight in legion but then no word about her…
Vanessa Vancleef was introduced back in legion after that no word of her…

Is blizzard planing something for these two characters or did they abandon them as usual?!?!

Maybe, if we voice concerns of them. We might get to see them again.

Also, I hope. They remake the model for Sally Whitemane like in Hots, similar to Valeera Sanguinar.

Ones a member of the Four horseman so her story is complete, she isn’t in the Shadowlands.

Vanessa Vancleef is alive, so she isn’t in the Shadowlands either.

whitemane is dead, vanessa works with the secret rogue council in the rogue class order hall.

EDIT: Oh yeah whitemane is a death knight in the class order hall that the gnome above me explained.

If I remember they both had prominent roles in legion within the respective order halls.

Sally for sure, she became a horsemen, Vanessa might have just been a follower.

she was gonna take the last seat on the special rogue council, but you as the player took it from her so she became a follower to you and thus a follower / agent of the secret council.

Yeah there we go thanks

They’re both still alive, well Sally is undead, and well.

Sally is off doing Horseman stuff, whatever that entails. Probably jobbing if the LK himself is anything to go by.

Vanessa is going to sit in the shadows like some kind of Thief-class, an outlaw if you will, if only there was some kind of thing like that in WoW. I’d call it Bandit.

I want to see Whitemane and Sanguinar in shadowlands

Whitemane was ruined by turning her into a DK IMO. We might see the 4 horsemen in Shadowlands though.

Vanessa really is pointless ATM and in the foreseeable future.

We might see Whitemane again in Shadowlands. Bolvar should be involved, and it would make sense for him to call on the Four Horsemen.

She’s in the new DK intro. But there’s never been a reason to have a storyline for her in BfA. I’m sure she’ll be standing around with the rest of the Horseman in Shadowlands.

Because, again, there’s no reason to. There’s no storyline for her. Nothing has happened that there needs to be a storyline for her

Plenty of random side NPCs get storylines when the story makes sense for it and then are left alone when it doesn’t. Vanessa didn’t even exist prior to Cata. And there’s almost zero lore for her. Why? Because she’s unimportant and was only there to be a zone antagonist and a boss fight. They tossed her in as a champion in Legion for poops and giggles.

If there’s no storyline that makes sense to introduce a character, then no, there’s zero reason to randomly shoehorn in stuff just because you picked out a couple of NPCs you like.

Ah! Yes, like tyrande and the Nightelfs are also tossed aside for the horde. :joy:

They’ll be doing nothing in shadowlands sadly.

Vanessa had such good potential. We could have had very bad and poorly written angst between her and Anduin like we see in some romantic comedies. But, we avoided that.

… what? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Personally, I’m glad we avoided emulating this particular form of tripe but to each their own.

A lot of amazing characters are left neglected for many expansions.

Shadowlands should be the expansion where death knight characters other than Bolvar and Arthas get to shine and get a lot of development, (Sally, Thoras, Thassarian, Koltira, Nazgrim, etc etc) but chances are that isn’t gonna happen, and it sucks.

It was what I foresaw them doing when she was first introduced. She’s the daughter of the guy who hated Stormwind.

So figured they’d be friends or something. Anduind always seems to bring out the best in people for some reason.

What I meant is, blizzard does a bad job in delivering a continuation of storyline for them. Either they are ignored, ruined or turned evil in a raid…
Look at Thrall for example, what a shame…
It’s there job to atleast mention those NPC’s, for ppl do have concerns for them, not to mention, Sally Whitemane is in Hots and they are so many cosplay, posters, etc of her as well as Vanessa Vancleef.
When a newcomer comes to see those posters of detail in some website. They do get puzzled, of who, when or where do we find them in wow…
Neither we have an overhaul to the old zones nor do we have an option to go back again and to re-live the experience again. So, new players are not that interested to go back to those outdated zones, for they are still in low Res and the players are encouraged to level up fast, to try out those new zones.

Look, at FFXIV and ESO. They try their best in bringing old npc back to light consistently or in the later date, where are able to re-live the experience again or watching them during cutscenes in our old battles back in the mansion like in FFXIV.

That’s why, I would want blizzard to bring those two npc back to light again. For they are beloved by the community ( definitely not in the wow forums ).

That doesn’t mean randomly adding in a storyline where it makes no sense is a good idea.

Sally’s story continued in Cata and Vanessa didn’t exist till Cata, so this makes absolutely no sense.

The two characters you picked are so random and so minor… I don’t even understand.

No, they really aren’t. I don’t think I have heard of anyone who really cares until you. No one I know, across three servers, has ever mentioned these characters once— and I’m on roleplay servers. So I have no idea where this is coming from.

You like them? Great. Your friends like them? That’s cool, too. But let’s not throw out random bs saying everyone loves them, when you have absolutely no way of knowing this.

I actually think that was a pretty cool twist for her. I’d prefer if she was just an undead priest, or some amalgamation of Lich King powers and Paladin/Priest ‘Light’, which would just be awesome… but I’m OK with what they did with her.
