I cannot see my WoW classic characters for classic vanilla WoW. I haven’t played in a very long time and I am currently playing on a free 3 day trial so I don’t know if this will affect anything?

they were supposed to be transferred to tbc or stay in classic-forever by a deadline. with the deadline having passed and your toons having made no decision, it’s possible that they no longer exist.

They still exist, they’re just in WotLK. You had about one year to choose to keep them in classic, but you probably missed the deadline if you’ve been away for multiple years.
The good news is there will be fresh servers soon. Join the discord and I’ll ping you when it drops!

Same here. I had no idea the character clone system was on a limited timeline. Blizzard needs to do right by its community, understanding that a lot of us were away when they retired the system. I keep running into more players in this situation who may have stepped away, but are really wanting to get back into the game (60 content). It absolutely crushes my interest in playing Classic Era because its just a constant reminder that my full BiS Rogue is literally just…deleted? Really blizzard?. That is not a good move.

What information is there about fresh Classic servers?
there is none prob wont be till march/april since som servers dont fully close till february
Only that they’re coming. I’ll ping when there’s a date.
Is there a way to character clone?
They were all deleted by Blizzard, problem when they did that there was minimal account notification.

Not at present, but if there’s enough complaints/support/requests they might reconsider a restoration

The minimal communication surrounding the Cloning Service was a mistake. While Blizzard did post here on the forums about its retiring, they could have easily included an email notification as well.

Hello All.
I know this topic is kinda old now, however I wanted to post to see if there may be any updates. It was/is unfortunate that most of my classic characters were transferred to WotLK with this forced “we will pick for you” decision. I do not remember there being a deadline to choose and if there was this is still a bad way to handle this. I was playing retail for awhile and upon my return to classic alas my character (most) were gone. In the twenty plus years I have been playing Blizzard products, Blizzard has made some faux pas, among them this decision is up at the top!
To the Monitor of the posts, please have the decency to give a reply. If getting characters returned back to classic is not going to happen let me know, for I have no wish to replay WotLK again.

as of date, no word on cloning coming back, you will need to start from scratch. i know this is not the answer you wanted to hear ?, but…like myself…i had to start all over in classic era.
Unfortunately, just like me. Your characters were moved to WoTLK, im assuming like me a game you dont wish to play. We are trying to get enough of us to voice our concerns and bring to blizzards attention that a large player base is asking for the cloning to be brought back to restore our characters that were (what felt like to us) robbed from us to collect dust on a version of the game we will not and do not wish to play. Blizzard please listen to your playerbase who is willing to pay money to restore their characters.

In the amount of time itll take you to accept that the clones are never gonna happen you can level your own toon and make it better than your old character.
