What happened to Mounts in Dressing Room?

If I remember correctly, one of the advertised features of BFA was that we would be able to “try on” mounts in the same way that we use the dressing room with armor, to see our characters on those mounts.

What happened to this idea? Is it just dance studio 2.0?

Unfortunately it only works on mounts already learned much like pets. So if someone were to link a mount in their collection, you can dressing room it, but as for the item used to learn a mount does not.
