just played less and less until not at all recently
talked to him a bit in df and while he still got r1 in s1 or 2 (current at the time) he seemed severely disinterested
a lot of his partners/friends quit retail for wrath or irl
and imo the game as a whole is significantly less rewarding in terms of skill expression now than it was in the past
not many good players who played the game then really wanna play it now
locked in after some irl stuff
got his phd married and kid
turns out you can’t play this game at the r1 (read: degenerate) level while getting a PHD in math.
He found a wife lost his virginity and got a PHD in Mathematics.
He has been tweeting about WOW some lately maybe he’s planning on a comeback.

Dude always seemed to genuinely like helping people so I could see him being a math teacher/professor.

Presumably that happens when you get married at least. The rate at which it continues happening varies widely depending on your choice of partner.

Wasn’t making money in streaming and had to get a job. Probably lost interest when people he always played with also moved on from the game.
