I haven’t played my level 40 Protection Warrior alt for awhile. So I went to Icy-Veins and other sites to read up a bit on builds and rotations. But when I looked for the Devastate spell, I couldn’t find it anywhere in my spellbook. What happened to it? Did I miss a change to the class? I’m just using the Starter Build that came with the Protection spec, does that have anything to do with the spell not being available? Thanks for any responses.
Did you pick up the Devastator talent? Spec tree → 3rd down in the middle

Yes I did pick up the Devastator talent in the 3rd row of my Protection tree.
I still don’t have either a Devastate or Devastator spell in my book. This talent is kinda confusing, does it mean that Devastate went from an active spell to a passive talent?
yes, the talent removes devastate from your spell book and gives a passive effect in it’s place. only passives learned through leveling show up in the book as well. talent ones don’t.
I guess the problem was, Icy Veins still lists Devastate as an active spell and puts it in a rotation that supposedly would work with a loadout which includes this Devastator passive talent.
Thank you for pointing this out, now I know to stop looking for the spell and substitute something else there instead.
