Hey I am just about done with the Kyrian Campaign and it’s really cool seeing Uther toss his soul into the Maw.
That being said, I haven’t done any other campaigns, and I am just curious if he pops up in any other Covenant Campaign?
If not, Man! What a missed opportunity!! Heck you see Ka’el, Vash’j, Draka, and I have heard Vol’jin also, so seeing Arthas would be awesome to me! You don’t have to spoil the story if he does, but I am genuinely curious if he is in SL also?
If not, what’s your idea about what happens to him in the SL’s? Does he get a Redemption, or does he suffer for his crimes (even though he was basically used as a puppet)?
Arthas is in the Maw and we really don’t need to see him anyways and aren’t likely to. His story is pretty done.
Garrosh we did meet in the Torghast raid. Denathrius gave his soul to the Jailer. He was being tortured and we find him in one of the boss fights. But Garrosh killed himself in style afterwards, he’s permanently dead and erased from existence now.
He’s on a shelf or in pieces because Frostmourne tore his soul to bits. The Jailer didn’t like him or any of the Lich Kings because none them would listen to him or follow the plan.
Antonidas probably isn’t a big or relevant enough name to add to the story. He could be anywhere among infinite SL realms too. These five are only a tiny region.
Varian may or may not even still exist. He was blown up by fel energy which is known to delete souls.
Medivh isn’t dead, he’s still alive and on Azeroth. Probably chilling with Khadgar. His mother like Antonidas could be anywhere at all in this dimension.
Antonidas is probably in Mage Heaven, doing Mage stuff. I mean we’ve only gone to the four essential pillars of what keep the Shadowlands working, the rest of the afterlives are all pretty gravy.
Arthas wasn’t even judged properly usually the souls are judged by the arbiter but with him it was uthers own emotions of hatred and what not and so he tossed into the maw. thus why i think uther became maw sworn as despite he was sent into bastion he could not ascend due to his emotions/past and of course i believe the blade and all that. so maybe by lore he couldn’t ascend as he was “tainted” by the blade which idk the lore around im assuming is corrupted by jailers magic.
idk if they brought him back or if they will i mean they should tbh. the cutscene with uther in chains by the bastion people looks like uther was coming to his senses and realized what he done was not right even in the afterlife but he did so at the moment due to anger. same thing happens irl when angry you do things and say things you may later regret.
with garrosh he is dead dead. i only watched the cutscene because everyone was talking about it and i was curious but imo he went out a champ. i mean with garrosh’s story i don’t think they could of salvaged that after all he has done. with arthas however it’s more debatable due to him being corrupted and intially did what he did out of good intentions.
i think they should give arthas a good ending after SL if they keep the story as is with him being thrown in the maw it’s just sloppy i mean after all these years he is still one of the well liked characters and they still make merch off him and im sure lots of money off his merch.
In the quest to get back the missing part of Uther’s soul, where you go to Torghast, there are a bunch of souls that are also held in the soul crystal things inside the Jailer’s soul vault. Rather than just providing the names, the crystals instead provide descriptions. Antonidus is one of them.
