You mean another new in game currency that allows you to purchase special items (that we’re probably available from the store anyway) doesn’t excite you? I mean right now, at this very moment there’s a new tent sitting where Robby Flay used to be in Stormwind. It’s like really cool man. Lol.
This and also I miss when KOTE and all the other alliance guilds would group up and dominate WPVP (forgot what they named their group of guilds) - felt like there was a big bad that lingered out in the world and the underdog feeling was so fitting for me as horde.
The community here was always fun- EDIRL blog, the drama trashtalking forum that was spun up so people could sling mud without getting banned, the random videos (bandit lounge), etc.
It feels like all the “leaders” and people who made fun stuff happened are gone.
I get told to shut up alot on Moonguard. It’s been six years since I left Emerald Dream. I’ve made friends here, had alot of cool times here but it doesn’t relate. 2013-2018 on ED was the wild west and honestly, if I could trade all of it to have one more year of ED I would, that’s just dreaming though. I share tales and talk about ED more than I talk about what I do currently because it was that damn great in MoP and WoD, even partially into Legion. I don’t feel sorry for myself or anyone who happens to be reading this, I feel sorry for those who sat through the blankness of twisting nether, venture co, ravenholdt when Emerald Dream was great and didn’t experience it. It was everything that RPPVP was. Even those who were responsible supposedly for the end you were a part of that time period, we all grew (hopefully) I’ll forever cherish that time. It was legendary and I’ll remember forever. Thank you all.

Server community is a collective copium for times when the game was in a much worse state.

I do not yearn for the ED of the past, but I am glad it happened. Even if the “times of glory” of the past were to return, I wouldn’t rejoin this server. Grass ended up being greener on the other side.
It’s better to have the vidya be good for it’s own case, even if server communities suffered in spite of it.

I think part of the problem with WrA is that it also suffers from a goblin infestation.

ive been leveling one of those dragon things on horde side. seems like everyone went to alliance. Or is it that the server is just all alliance now cause all i see is alliance? Half tempted to bring my hunter back over and see if at least 1 or 2 people have warmode on

A lot of familiar names and good memories in this thread that has somehow managed to get me even more pissed at Blizzard for killing this server and community.

Is Mort still around? I haven’t seen him in a while. I didn’t always see eye to eye with him but he really did liven up this forum at times.
Is that a self diagnosed medical condition? It would be nice to know as it may affect how I interact with you going forward. Posh dandy or not, I’m still a mindful night elf. Lol.
Of course I’m not self diagnosed, that’d be silly. I’ll have you know one of the voices in my head is a doctor, and it’s a perfectly cromulant diagnosis.
