What happened at Wolverton Stead?

When did the Wolverton Stead and pumpkin patch next to the stormwind embassy get so active. Giant ancients, tents, people working in the pumpkin patch…

Did the Gilneans decide to abandon Teldrasill to get closer to their homeland? Or did the recently unemployed Darkmoon Faire staff move in here?

This has changed since I was here last month.

Um, about Teldrassil… well…

See…

Hey is anyone going to tell him?

Yeah, they decided to abandon Teldrassil just like the devs abandoned them at the beginning of Cataclysm.

Homeless encampments. Should really clear them out already. It’s been a few years.

And one day later they are all gone. Not sure if this was something added for flavor or something I’ve missed in the past. But there were a lot of people and two giant elementals that seemed to suddenly appear at the stead yesterday and are suddenly gone today.

Or maybe they did just round up the homeless and ship them out of Stormwind!

Yes yes, they were there. We all saw them. escorts Sutro to a nice seat by a window Sit here for a while , i will get you an Ensure.

A military draft to replenish the ranks should take care of that.

Why would we remove them? the druids are mass producing pumpkins for pies, pancakes, and pumpkin spice lattes.

But I was hoping there was something interesting happening! Not just a teaser that reminds you of bygone days when interesting things happened in Stormwind. Now it feels like the great cities are meant for people to sit by the windows and remember the past.

Most of the time it seems like the capital cities are occupied by WoW developers standing around waiting for Blizz to give them something to do!

See, this thing happened in teldrassil during a limited time event that can never be replayed that basically shaped the game for two expansions now, but if you didn’t play during the end of Legion you’ll never get to experience it.

But just take everyone else’s word for it that it was a really big deal. But not such a big deal that the night elves can’t just get over it and forgive sylvanas, because renewal.

Those just standing around in the major city’s , apparently doing nothing, are not developers being bored. they are ultra-casuals who use wow as a 15 dollar a month phone service, chatting.
and to the OP>>>
Teldrassil … um … it was burned to the ground to make room for … hate? a gmo corn/soy hybrid planted for oil production? don’t know Why, anyone would Want to burn such a lovely tree… but Slyvanus did it .

People do understand that Darnassus in Teldrassil is still there if you aren’t phased, right? Yes, my 50+ characters who played through the event are now taken to the ruined Darkshore from the dock portal in SW. But my lower level characters, including Worgen and Night Elves, have no problem leveling/visiting in old Darnassus. So my original question had nothing to do with that.

I was intrigued because I do play some lower level characters and at least once a month I find myself doing a cooking/fishing quest at Wolverton Stead & Olivia’s Pond in SW. It has always been a peaceful, quiet place the many times I’ve been there before.

But suddenly on Monday it was bursting with activity. I posted wondering if there was a new event Blizz was introducing which I hadn’t heard about or if this had existed at certain times in the past that I had missed. My comment about Teldrassil was not really meant to be a part of the question.

I love this explanation so much.

Of course. That’s the progression of the storyline. If you haven’t reached that part yet, then it doesn’t phase.

It sounds like you just got temporarily phased into the new content or something.

Actually, I noticed it too. Was passing through briefly and thought that perhaps I mis-remembered the crowds being there as I go there so rarely. So Sutro was not hallucinating.

I wouldn’t think anyone is hallucinating. Sometimes these phases pop up that are kind of like bugs. It’s similar to when music from other zones starts looping in areas it’s not supposed to.

I’ve had similar happen in different areas before. And then I get sad when it’s gone. lol

Thank you! That was it exactly. I haven’t been there on my upper level alts and didn’t realize this is the way it is now. But the lower level ones I play occasionaly never see it. For some reason my level 15 Worgen warrior got a 1 day vision of the future last Monday.
