People that run 50 yards way too deep into the enemy forces, die instantly and cry because they “got no heals” (yeah no wonder buddy you literally just warrior leaped 50 yards away from your healers and tried to fight 7 enemies at once, what did u think was gonna happen?)
-
People that join as tank but dont grab the flag, nuff said.
-
Damage dealers that somehow do less damage than the healers, at this point i dont even think its skill i just think its throwing tbh… like how is that even possible?
-
Guys who say stupid stuff like “damage doesnt matter” yet these people are like 0-6 with no damage done, and no objective time… its like… if damage doesnt matter… what r u doing that does matter so much? i dont get it?
-
When your whole entire team for some reason just absolutely refuses to hit the enemy healers… they for some reason think it would be a better idea to find the guy with the most hp and armor and attack him instead.
-
When you are the healer and you have 2 rogues beating the crap out of you, so you drag them back into deep waters, but none of your team mates turn around and try to help, they would much rather tunnel vision the enemy tank instead.
-
when your team has an absolute moronic strategy , for instance when you try to avoid waterworks in gilenas and go for the point thats literally on the opposite side of the map, where the enemy team rezzes super close to it even if u do manage to capture it.
-
when you have 4 mages on your team but none of them have time warp on their bars… oh hey look… the enemy team got time warp… but not us… now we are all dead and we are most likely going to lose the game.
Pretty much the entirety of IoC. It’s also pretty bad on CTF maps when people absolutely refuse to team fight in mid no matter what. That and people just being inflexible with strats in general.
“/raid Ok, we need to fight off and hold Hangar so don’t take the airship portal. Wait until we defend it from the incoming assault”
:watches everyone jump on airship portal leaving 3 people to defend.:
To be fair sometimes healers arent always the best choice to hit. if that warrior is diving balls deep into your team and outranging his healer. Hit him. If they have a lock or spriest. Hit them unless its an edge spriest. ETC ETC. Like healers aren’t the 100% kill all the time
Then 30 people drop into the enemy keep and proceed to stand around fighting over the same 4 bomb spawns until they eventually lose.
people who don’t lust/timewarp during the most crucial times
- Seething Shore.
- toxic chat.
- people who queue as heals and then go afk.
- healers who only heal themselves.
- people who ignore the strat set out before the match starts.
- horde that run past the IBGY chokepoint in AV
- alliance rerolls.
Very much this.
I wanna RBG
But I’m not tank spec. Insta kick
When the tanks dont pick up flag
When healers go mid and wont heal fc …like at all
when As a healer i have half the team beating me to death and the rest of the team cry about not getting heals meanwhile they beat up the tank ??? Like why?
when im on a rogue amd i try to ninja a node but the whole team /or nonnstealthies follow me and ruin my ninja cap
When i think of more ill edit
getting maps i dont like two or three times in a row with now way to black list them.
DwG and seething shore both suck win or lose. temple sucks when you lose
Horde dominating AV in the days amd weeks after 8.0 first released only for them to now slide right back into the zerg mentality because Epic BGs are the best source to farm CP so these halfwits are @$#!ing it all up all over again.
Tanks still take increased damage, tack on the increased damage of being a FC and, without a dedicated healer, that tank (that isn’t a DH) will be lucky to make it a 1/3rd of the way before they’re exploded.
I dunno, this one comes with some caveats. I’ve had plenty of games where I did abysmal total damage because I was on defense the entire time and no one attacked the flag I was guarding. But just leaving a flag unprotected to pad numbers on the scoreboard is a good way to lose the match. The same goes for sitting with the flag carrier in WSG and rarely having to actually fend off an attack, but leaving him by himself to go farm honor in the middle of nowhere is out of the question.
My biggest pet peeve is working on your own task and being forced to watch the rest of the team absolutely flub objectives. TL;DR: When people absolutely suck at doing objectives and then can’t figure out why they lose, like it’s a big surprise.
Arathi Basin/Deepwing Gorge/Battle for Gilneas: Sitting on a flag and watching helplessly as the the rest of the team fights on the roads, all the while the Alliance has 2-4 of the other flags and are just drinking in the points. Or people not fighting on or near flags in general so someone can just walk up and take it.
Temple of Kotmogu: People being afraid to grab dropped orbs or people grabbing orbs and then just running around the outer areas with them instead of gathering with the rest of their team near the middle.
Seething Shore: Fighting in the middle of nowhere and not spinning the nodes if you’re fighting over one.
Silvershard Mines: Watching people fighting anywhere but on a cart or when they leave a cart before it caps, running the risk of it being flipped at the end of the track (there’s even an achievement for doing a last second flip, people!)
Warsong Gulch/Twin Peaks: People fighting in the middle of nowhere while the EFC casually strolls by unmolested. Or when the Alliance is up 2-0 and the Horde doesn’t realize they haven’t bothered capping a 3rd time because they’re farming us for Honor–and the Horde is too busy in the middle letting themselves be farmed.
Eye of the Storm: People leaving towers unguarded. People fighting in the middle of nowhere while the flag is in play.
Isle of Conquest: Everyone wanting to “rush mid”, but then losing the flag anyway because 80% of the team stops 50 feet from the flag like they’re afraid of dying. Half the team dropping or launching into the enemy base when there are only four piles of bombs, all while we lose every single flag and have negligible defense on our own base. People refusing to fight the boss in his damn room so if they happen to catch aggro, he resets when he runs out to get them–or people who run away from the boss and reset it in general because if you die in the gam, you die for real.
Alterac Valley: People tapping a flag and then leaving it completely unguarded before it burns. People sitting in the bunkers, but not watching the flags properly so rogues and druids get a free backcap from behind pillars right under their noses. People taking Snowfall Graveyard. People resetting Vann because not taking a brief ~30s death is more important than not costing your team the game. People who blow bloodlust early on so we don’t have it for the boss during really close games.
Of course they do, but that’s true of anyone who carries the flag without support. Tanks are still the best carriers because they’ll have more health and still take less damage than anyone else, flag debuff or no. A tank who makes a DPS or healer carry the flag is doing it wrong.
Aiunno.
I feel extra squishy being a FC. I try to do it if I get to it in time, but flag running in BFA compared to Legion, you feel like more of a detriment running it as opposed to simply holding it.
In Legion we could survive almost any onslaught with both debuffs long enough for our team to provide back up. Now, I’m lucky if I make it down a ramp.
The across the board hit to tank survivability on top of poor mobility makes them terrible flag runners and better holders.
People who do not play the object, and insist on just fighting at random. In a BG, the objective is all that matters.
-
People not understanding how to use demos or vehicles properly in IoC. “Oh hey look it’s a giant fiery puddle on the ground you know I’ve heard those are dangerous in PvE but this is PvP I do wut i wan-… [dead vehicle]”
-
People tunnel-visioning a single strat ALL match and refusing to change not understanding that strats can change MULTIPLE times easily during the course of a game (especially so in the bigger BG’s ex. AV/IoC).
-
People not understanding that lava cart caps the fastest in Silvershard (going normal path ofc)
ppl who throw me the orbs
Yet another Isle of Conquest loss where 12 alliance are running in the horde base when only 4 or 5 are needed for bombs.
The other thing I detest about this battleground. Idiots who stay in the tower trying to repair the cannons over & over when there’s a group of horde on the ground or a demo on the ground making the cannons unrepairable.
They literally will stay in their tower failing to repair over & over & over instead of engaging on the ground.
So, what i’m getting out of all this thread is, no one likes it when their team does stupid stuff.
Adding to the list, these are my biggest peeves.
Cyclone on a target that is almost dead. The ones where one more hit would have finished them off.
DK’s gripping away my target. Especial when I just popped cool downs. Is it really too much trouble to take 5 steps and actually help me.
Team mate screwing up a flag cap in AB.
