I’ve been thinking of upgrading my graphics card to a Nvidia RTX 2060? Think this is good for shadowlands? Or should I get a better one? Will the 2060 give the me best graphics possible for shadowlands without needing a better card?
what do you have now, cpu and gpu
For graphics I have GeForce GTX 950, For the CPU AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800H, which I bought not too long ago. I’m looking at the RTX 2060 since its not too expensive, but wondering if it’ll still give me the max visuals for Shadowlands.

Yes, I have a laptop I’m working on, though my desktop is also outdated in its graphics card, I’ve been broke a while, so just wondering what the best GPU in terms of price/performance balance would be.
well the 4800h is pretty strong, and if you’re running an egpu, you can probably get something better than a 950.
new stuff is on the way, so maybe you could just get something as a hold-me-over like a 5600 XT. It’s cheaper than the 2060 and faster. The 2060 can’t do RTX competently anyway.

I have read that egpus lose between 25-40% performance by virtue of the interface - so keep that in mind to eventually shift it to a new desktop
My laptop isn’t to replace my desktop, its to use at times when I cant bring my desktop with me. I do plan on upgraded the desktop too!
